Lincoln threatened to lock up Chief Justice Roger Taney as well.

If Lamon had not been so fond of Taney, it probably would have happened.

Do tell. Did Ward Lamon know Taney personally? We had discussed this incident before, but I never knew they were acquainted.

I'd love to know where that warrant went. Lamon probably ditched it as a favor to Lincoln.
