Study Finds Stern Fans Undecided About Sirius Switch
Billboard Radio Monitor ^ | Feb 23, 2005 | Bram Teitelman

Ratings and research company Bridge Ratings has conducted a study of Howard Stern listeners gauging their willingness to follow him to Sirius when his current Infinity contract ends.

The survey found that over one in five listeners, or 22%, planned on subscribing to Sirius to continue to hear Stern. 41% were undecided, while 37% said they wouldn't subscribe. When asked if they knew what it cost to subscribe to Sirius, almost half (49%) of the listeners weren't aware, as compared to 39% who were. When told that they would have to pay for hardware and a monthly subscription fee, only 7% said they would subscribe to Sirius, while 44% said they wouldn't. Half were undecided.

The study surveyed 1,857 listeners who described Stern as their favorite morning show personality. It was conducted in Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Boston and Detroit, from November 1 through January 31.

Bummer! Drango did it first but actually added a different twist to serious.

This is truly becoming series now!

Stern is a no talent hack. His best material came from Jackie the Jokeman and he uncerimoniously let him go rather than pay him the few sheckles he needed to make a decent living out of his own multimillion dollars a year coffers.

Stern is an Anti-Bush, Anti-American B*st*rd. I hope he slips into the obscurity he deserves on satellite radio.
(tell us how you really feel Vaquero?)

AGREE: Stern is an @$$hole. I'm glad he's going to satellite. A lot less morons will hear him. I'D NEVER PAY FOR RADIO LET ALONE TO HEAR HIM!

I find it hard to imagine that anybody stupid enough to listen to howard sperm would be smart enough to use satellite radio.
