ollywood actress Jada Pinkett Smith may have been honored as Artist of the Year Saturday at Harvard University, but her speech ruffled some feathers among the Ivy League school's gay community.
The Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, and Supporters Alliance is reportedly taking issue with Smith's remarks as being too specific to heterosexual relationships, according to The Harvard Crimson.
``Some of the content was extremely heteronormative, and made BGLTSA members feel uncomfortable,'' BGLTSA co-chairman Jordan Woods told the Crimson.

Why did Will smith marry her, I admit see is kinda of cute, but damn she is only five feet tall, never mind, it just dawned on me.
More super sensitive griping from Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything.
That's a new one on me!
Never knew who she was until I saw her in the Matrix, she is really cute
Heteronormative = Homophobic ?
We certainly wouldn't want anyone to imply that heterosexual behavior is NORMAL while homosexual behavior is abnormal. That might affirm what nature tells us and we certainly wouldn't want to offend the BGLTSA community. Oh that would be so intolerant of us.
Damn, just get over it. The vast majority of the world is heterosexual. If that makes you "uncomfortable," then find a different planet to live on. Sheesh, now we can't talk about marriage and family without a bunch of nitwit queens taking offense?? Get bent. This is the kind of thing that makes people so fed the hell up with gays.
Good heavens, we wouldn't want anyone to think being straight is normal, would we?
Maybe all colleges should be closed down for about 10 years and then start all over again.
Absolute, complete heterophobia by these queers (their term). Apparently, they can't 'tolerate' her being with a real man. Maybe she isn't a real 'artist' unless she is clean someone elses carpet.
``Women, you can have it all - a loving man, devoted husband, loving children, a fabulous career,'' she said. ``They say you gotta choose. Nah, nah, nah. We are a new generation of women. We got to set a new standard of rules around here. You can do whatever it is you want. All you have to do is want it.''
Too heteronormative? Well, well. At least they understand that they are NOT the norm. Secondly, must we make asides to *every* possible special interest group in our daily speech? C'mon, Jordan, get over it.
How about "Wildly & Hysterically Indignant about Nearly Everything (WHINE)"?
she is being lambasted for that!?!?...ugh.
What the...? Just what are these overinflated buffoons talking about? For crying out loud, get a life, and get over yourself!
Why dont you just use the term some of THEM use? (fags)
Concern and discussion of wimpy gays just takes up too much good air. The world is better off without them and they need to realize that. But, I suppose that's why they yell and scream at every apparent opportunity.
All those with a devoted husband take one step forward.
Uh, not so fast there Mrs. Smith.
