For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world -- our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
We come before You, grateful for the privilege of fellowship with other believers and lifting up our brothers and sisters to You, asking that You bless them and their families. We thank You for your commandments, given to us not to restrict us but to order our relationships with both You and our fellow man that we might have joy. Lord, we thank You for Your Word, given to correct us and to instruct us in righteousness that we may strive to become the persons You would have us be. But we especially thank You for the hope that You have given us through Your Son and our Savior. When we look around us and see turmoil, immorality, destructiveness, and chaos we become discouraged; but when we focus on Jesus we realize that the victory over evil has been accomplished and we know the peace that passes understanding. Lord, help us to act victorious and jubilant. Increase our faith and our trust in You that we may serve You and bring honor and glory to Your Name.
Father, we rejoice to have a President who heeds Your voice and studies Your Word. Place Your wisdom within him that his decisions may be according to Your will. Bless him with patience, discernment, strength, and love. Watch over him and shield him from his enemies that he may fulfill his calling to serve You and our nation.
Lord, we plead with You on behalf of Terri Schiavo, but not only for her sake. Her life is precious but her situation is also symbolic of the culture of death that is becoming more pervasive in our society. It is for You to decide when the end of our earthly days has come, not some person or group who follow the prince of darkness. Bind the hands of satan and open the eyes of those who are blind to Your goodness, mercy, and eternal love. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Father, as we hear the news of people around the world desiring freedom, we are grateful for the role that our military have played in this movement. Their bravery makes us proud. They serve, far from home and loved ones, at great sacrifice, that the light of liberty may shine in lands around the world. Bless them and keep them, O Lord. Place Your healing hands on those who have been injured, physically or emotionally. Comfort the families who have lost a loved one for this noble cause and give them courage to face the days ahead. We ask all these things in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Wonderful scripture today.

Amen! Our Dear Master, we Interceed for our sister Terri, whom the Sons of Darkness have Targeted for Destruction. We Plead for her Deliverance, Great King, from the Ghastly End the Lovers of Death have Chosen for her! We Implore that You will Move Powerfully Upon the Hearts of those in Authority, Causing them to Stand Up for Righteousness Sake! O Master my King, Your Little One is now Surrounded by Guards with Machine Guns, to Stymie any of Your Servants who Seek to Save her Life. Papa, we Pour Out our Hearts to You; on Bended Knee and with Tears, we Plead for the Rescue of Your Child!
Bind Satan's Minions, our Merciful Master, that they will be Powerless to Implement their Marching Orders from Hell. Our Hope is in You, Great King of Eternity, that You will Bare Your Arm for Your Little One Once Again. Save her, Lord Jesus, as You have Done Before, and we will Praise Your Name, and Sing of Your Holy Might. In Your Royal Name, and for Your Glory we Pray, and we Exalt You, amen.
Thank you both for your beautiful prayer. I join with you in your prayers for President Bush and for Terry Schiavo.
Amen, kayak.
Paul
AMEN KAYAK AND AMEN ALL!
Remember, O my soul,
It is thy duty and privilege to rejoice in God:
He requires it of thee for all his favours of grace.
Rejoice then in the Giver and his goodness,
Be happy in him, O my heart, and in nothing
but God,
for whatever a man trusts in,
from that he expects happiness.
He who is the ground of thy faith
should be the substance of thy joy.
Whence then comes heaviness and dejection,
when joy is sown in thee,
promised by the Father,
bestowed by the Son,
inwrought by the Holy Spirit,
thine by grace,
thy birthright in believing?
Art thou seeking to rejoice in thyself
from an evil motive of pride and self-reputation?
Thou hast nothing of thine own but sin,
nothing to move God to be gracious
or to continue his grace towards thee.
If thou forget this thou wilt lose thy joy.
Art thou grieving under a sense of indwelling sin?
Let godly sorrow work repentance,
as the true spirit which the Lord blesses,
and which creates fullest joy;
Sorrow for self opens rejoicing in God,
Self-loathing draws down divine delights.
Hast thou sought joys in some creature comfort?
Look not below God for happiness;
fall not asleep in Delilahs lap.
Let God be all in all to thee,
and joy in the fountain that is always full.
A PURITANS PRAYER!
"Ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
- Galatians 3:26
The fatherhood of God is common to all his children. Ah! Little-faith, you
have often said, "Oh that I had the courage of Great-heart, that I could
wield his sword and be as valiant as he! But, alas, I stumble at every
straw, and a shadow makes me afraid." List thee, Little-faith.
Great-heart is God's child, and you are God's child too; and Great-heart
is not one whit more God's child than you are.
Peter and Paul, the highly- favoured apostles, were of the family of the
Most High; and so are you also; the weak Christian is as much a child of
God as the strong one.
"This cov'nant stands secure,
Though earth's old pillars bow;
The strong, the feeble, and the weak,
Are one in Jesus now."
All the names are in the same family register. One may have more grace
than another, but God our heavenly Father has the same tender heart
towards all.
One may do more mighty works, and may bring more glory to his Father, but
he whose name is the least in the kingdom of heaven is as much the child
of God as he who stands among the King's mighty men.
Let this cheer and comfort us, when we draw near to God and say, "Our
Father.
"
Yet, while we are comforted by knowing this, let us not rest contented
with weak faith, but ask, like the Apostles, to have it increased.
However feeble our faith may be, if it be real faith in Christ, we shall
reach heaven at last, but we shall not honour our Master much on our
pilgrimage, neither shall we abound in joy and peace.
If then you would live to Christ's glory, and be happy in his service,
seek to be filled with the spirit of adoption more and more completely,
till perfect love shall cast out fear.
SOLI DEO GLORIA!
What a beautiful prayer, kayak. I'm joining you this morning in prayer and am sorry I missed your post last night.
Beautiful prayer, kayak. We pray, Dear Lord, Your continued blessings on President Bush, his administration, his family, and all those throughout the world who are helping to bring peace among all men.
Amen, all.
We keep our eyes on You, our Lord and King, knowing that with You all things are possible and that You are ruler and Lord over all. As we keep our eyes on You, You give us perfect peace.
We confess that the noise of what we see has entered our thoughts, but commit to remaining steadfast as we trust in Your goodness and mercy. In this, we know You are pleased.
Thank You for a committed, born-again President who has chosen life and seeks Your way of doing and being right. Thank You for calling up men and women into our military service and for protecting so many lives and making their mission a success. Thank You for the end-time harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God, for sending Your Word to bring healing and filling the earth with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.
We trust that our prayers have been pleasing to You concerning Terri Schiavo and know that in all things You are good. I believe that You have moved Your people to intercede in the spiritual and natural world to whatever degree is necessary to accomplish Your purpose. We choose to trust You and in all things will give You the glory.
We love You, great Lord and King, in Jesus' most excellent name.
Amen! Praying your Wonderful Prayer in Agreement with you, dear Hiskid!
Bless you Kayak...
The prayer was wonderful as always, the Irish Prayer...brought a smile after a long day.
