Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Him to them. And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. So he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.
And yet even in our despair and consternation, we trust You, Father; You are the One in control. We know that You won the victory over evil and death through the sacrifice of the Lamb. It is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords who will reign forever and ever, not the prince of darkness whose influence we see in evidence in today's world. We claim the promise of eternal life bought with the blood of our Lord and Savior. And we confess, Lord, that we betrayed him as surely as did Judas through our sinfulness. How we rejoice that You are Love and that You adopt us into the Kingdom of Heaven if we will but confess our sins and receive the Son into our hearts. We praise You for the forgiveness and mercy that You offer us. Take our lives, O Lord, and use them to Your service and Your glory.
Father, we pray for President Bush and for Governor Bush at this difficult time. Give them wisdom and courage and yet do not let them overstep the bounds of their offices for that, too, will damage the fabric of our nation. Show them what You would have them do; reveal to them Your will. Watch over them and their families and protect them from all harm.
Lord, we plead with You for the life of Terri Schiavo; and yet we bow our will to Yours. Use her and her situation to Your glory, O Father, during this Holy Week. Bless her family and give them strength, courage, and peace. Hold them close to Your heart and assure them of Your love.
We also lift up to You Pope John Paul II. He has served You faithfully and well and we ask for Your blessings upon him.
Father, as another holiday, this one an especially Holy Day, approaches we are ever mindful of our troops who serve far from home and family. Be their Shield and Defender and let them know of Your presence with them even as they are absent from their families. We thank You for their bravery and sacrifice to protect our land and to bring freedom to others. Heal those who are injured and comfort the families of those who have lost their lives in service to our country. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
Romans 8: 26-27 - Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
AMEN KAYAK AND AMEN ALL!
PEACE,GRACE,INFINITE BLESSINGS PRAYED FOR ALL BRETHREN!
"In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit."
- Luke 10:21
The Saviour was "a man of sorrows," but every thoughtful mind has
discovered the fact that down deep in his innermost soul he carried an
inexhaustible treasury of refined and heavenly joy. Of all the human race,
there was never a man who had a deeper, purer, or more abiding peace than
our Lord Jesus Christ. "He was anointed with the oil of gladness above his
fellows." His vast benevolence must, from the very nature of things, have
afforded him the deepest possible delight, for benevolence is joy. There
were a few remarkable seasons when this joy manifested itself. "At that
hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of
heaven and earth." Christ had his songs, though it was night with him;
though his face was marred, and his countenance had lost the lustre of
earthly happiness, yet sometimes it was lit up with a matchless splendour
of unparalleled satisfaction, as he thought upon the recompense of the
reward, and in the midst of the congregation sang his praise unto God. In
this, the Lord Jesus is a blessed picture of his church on earth. At this
hour the church expects to walk in sympathy with her Lord along a thorny
road; through much tribulation she is forcing her way to the crown. To
bear the cross is her office, and to be scorned and counted an alien by
her mother's children is her lot; and yet the church has a deep well of
joy, of which none can drink but her own children.
There are stores of wine, and oil, and corn, hidden in the midst of our
Jerusalem, upon which the saints of God are evermore sustained and
nurtured; and sometimes, as in our Saviour's case, we have our seasons of
intense delight, for "There is a river, the streams whereof shall make
glad the city of our God.
" Exiles though we be, we rejoice in our King; yea, in him we exceedingly
rejoice, while in his name we set up our banners.
C.H.SPURGEON!
SOLI DEO GLORIA!
Amen,.......Infinite Grace and Mercy,......In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!!!
This morning I ask You for guidance and wisdom for those in authority in our nation. Evil is rampant in our land. Our national fabric has been torn apart by the Terri Schiavo situation.
Bless and guide President Bush and Governor Bush as they try everything within their legal power to help her. Soften the hearts of those who desire her death. Calm the anger in our nation, and guide us to a respect for life.
In all things, we trust in You. Help us to use whatever happens to Your glory.
We pray also for the safety of the Bush family, that those who wish to harm them might be thwarted. Comfort and guide President Bush as he seeks to do that which is right.
Look after our military, Lord. Many are so young and are far from home in dangerous situations. Grant them courage, peace, and the knowledge of Your love. Comfort their families as well.
We are in a sad time in our nation, Lord. As we approach Good Friday and Easter Sunday, may we realize and appreaciate the sacrifice and gift Your Son gave us. Forgive us for our failings, which are many.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Amen and amen. Glory to our Passover Lamb.
Once again the words of Spurgeon lift our spirits. Thank you for bringing them to us.
Thank you for your prayers.
Thank you for your prayer.
To God be the glory!
Make haste, O LORD!!
Amen!
God is Sovereign and in control! Forgive us our sins, O LORD, and heal our land!
"May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be adored, glorified, loved and preserved throughout the world now and forever Amen."
Praying your Heartfelt Prayers with you, and Continuing in Prayer for Terri Schiavo.
Father, we worship Your goodness, grace and love, knowing that You are the epitome of all of these. You are all together lovely, all together worthy.
Into Your hands to we commit our sister, Terri, our judicial system and our President. We trust You, Father, to hear the cries of Your children and answer.
Thank You, our King, in Jesus' name
Amen.
Echoing that prayer.
