Father, we bring before You our dear brother in Christ, President Bush, asking that You lift him up and give him strength and wisdom to accomplish Your will in his life, and in the life of this nation. We bring before You his brother, Jeb, as well, and ask that they both be granted keen insight into what You want them to do, regardless of political consequence. Father, we trust You completely in the life of Terri Schiavo, and know that Your will is going to be done, and that You will be glorified, because You are both loving and Sovereign. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what things mean when we are in the midst of painful circumstances, but we trust You, O Lord to accomplish Your purpose in this grievous situation.
We pray for the comfort of the Schindler family, and we pray for the strength of all those who are supporting them. We pray that calm will remain, and that a peace that passes all human understanding would flow through those who are participating in this vigil for her.
Lord, we are on our knees in fervent prayer for this nation, and what this huge step toward a culture that embraces death will mean. Father, we pray that there will be a backlash of eternal proportions against this travesty, and that Your people throughout the land will rise up in defense of the sanctity of every life in America.
We pray that President Bush will be able to lead us toward the goal of life. We know that is in his heart, and we pray that You will provide him the means and the will to accomplish that goal.
Father, we continue to lift up the members of our military, especially those who are in harm's way, and ask for their protection and blessing. We thank You for the victories that are taking place in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and we pray for a rapid end to the need for our troops in both those countries. We pray for family members and loved ones of those who are far from home serving this great land in the cause of freedom. And we pray, as well, for those who have been wounded, many severely, that they may heal, and be able to live fulfilling lives. We pray for the loved ones of those who have fallen that they might feel Your comfort during their time of deep grief.
Lord, we pray that Your children would not fail in remembering to pray for our President and for America. We know that some are in strong disagreement with him and think he should do more to intervene, but we ask that those people might not forget to pray for him. Grant him wisdom and an understanding of what he must do to further return America to morality and responsibility. We feel that a great blow has been made against all that is right and good in America, but we continue to acknowledge that You are in control of all events, and that You will not be mocked. Humble us, we pray, that we might seek only Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and forgive us the sins that keep us from fellowship with You. We ask all this in the Name of Jesus, who died for our sins, Amen!

I send greetings to Christians around the world as they gather to celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus' life and teachings continue to speak to every generation and Christians believe his miraculous Resurrection provides hope for the future and offers us the promise of new life.
Through His ministry and sacrifice, Jesus demonstrated God's unconditional love for us. He taught us the importance of helping others and loving our neighbors. His selfless devotion and mercy provide a remarkable example for all of us.
As families and friends gather to enjoy this Easter season, we celebrate God's gift of freedom and His love that conquers death. For those who observe Easter, our faith brings confidence that good will overcome evil and that joy is everlasting. Today, we give thanks for God's many blessings and pray for His peace in the affairs of men.

Creator God, Send us Your guidance and Your wisdom. It is so difficult sometimes to follow Your Light and hear Your calling, but we call for Your guidance to be clear for our leader and Your devout son George Bush, who You surely placed in the difficult and challenging position in which he finds himself for reasons only You fully know. Let us be patient and understanding and supportive for Your Kingdom and help George Bush in his endeavors as he carries out Your will to the best of his human understanding. In Jesus' name we pray. Lord, there are some who are bitter, believing that the Bush brothers have not done enough to protect Terri Schiavo. Others believe they have done all they can within the rule of law.
And there are some who believe both - that is, that the authorities should act outside the rule of law in the compelling interest of saving an innocent life.
I admit that I do not know enough of the details of this case to judge. I do know that the public has been consistently misinformed, and therefore holds a skewed, errant opinion on what should be done. And that makes it harder for prolife authorities to act.
I simply ask that they, and all pertinent leaders, would be given a double portion of wisdom to know what to do, and courage to do it.
Our problems are deep, Mighty God. The enemy of truth and love has a strong grip on our culture, and many have been duped.
You came, dear Lord Jesus, to bring life and light, to break the bonds of sin and error. You paid a great Price in order to accomplish Your goal.
Having paid that price, You are by no means going to accept defeat. No, You have ordained victory for those who walk in Your purposes. It is for that reason that we have peace, despite the enemy's murderous opposition.
We humbly ask that if there is any way to turn this terrible situation around, that You do so, even miraculously. But if not, we still know that You will redeem it - in Your own way, at Your own time, inexorably. Your foes simply will not be able to stand. Your judgments WILL triumph. You cannot fail.
Therefore we have confidence. May all intimately involved in the cause of life in this case have peace and rest, even as they do what they can, as You will allow. May a great grace, the very power of God, rest on them in this difficult hour. And even in distress may Your glory be made manifest, and be a witness to the spiritually impoverished world.
