Pray for President Bush

Heavenly Father,

You are the Mighty One, the Giver of all life, our Comfort, and our Hiding Place. When our world seems to have turned upside down, You are constant and unchanging. Your steadfastness and Your mercy are the cornerstones of our lives. Lead us, O Lord, down the path of righteousness, for Your Name's sake, that our lives might be a witness to Your love and Your glory.

O Father, when we see the depths to which his enemies will stoop we are fearful for our President. Yet we claim Your watchfulness over him and Your guidance for him. Write Your Word in his heart and in his mind that he may speak and act according to Your will. Fill him with Your wisdom and grant him courage and determination to do that which is right in Your eyes.

Lord, our First Lady is traveling to places where there is great danger, especially in view of the current angry sentiments against the United States. Banish evildoers from her presence that she and those traveling with her might be safe from all harm. Be a Shield to those given the duty of defending and protecting her and those who attend the events in which she participates.

Our military are ever in harm's way, O Lord, and we constantly lift them up to You, asking that You give them the perception and the courage to defeat the enemy. Be a healing balm to those who are wounded in body or spirit. Hold their families close to Your heart and strengthen them.

Lord, we are seeing bitterness and division in our nation such as we have never seen in our lifetimes. The Father of Lies is running rampant throughout our land and many are following him into deceit and treachery. Only Your Holy Spirit can calm the vitriol and the hatred that we are witnessing daily. Lord, we ask that You bind the hands of satan that the seeds of discontent and discord that he sows may wither and die. Refresh Your people with the Living Water that we may be emboldened to stand up for Your righteousness. In the Name of our Savior. Amen.

A PURITANS PRAYER!

Heavenly Father, we come to you in one spirit asking prayers for President Bush and Laura. We pray You will watch over her in a special way as she travels abroad with her message of peace and education for those in need.

Dear Lord, we pray You will be with our military men and women who are fighting to keep our great nation free from terrorist. Thank You, Lord, for them and their families for the sacrifice they are paying for our freedom.

We ask these blessings in Your Son's Precious Name, Amen.

Lord, we ask that You bind the hands of satan that the seeds of discontent and discord that he sows may wither and die. Refresh Your people with the Living Water that we may be emboldened to stand up for Your righteousness.

Amen! Hear our prayers, O Lord. Expose the lies of the wicked one and all those who have chosen to do his evil work. Inspire Your people to discern the truth and to stand up for what is decent and right, according to Your laws and for Your glory. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
