Taliban claims it has killed missing U.S. soldier
KABUL (Reuters) - Taliban guerrillas said on Saturday they had killed a missing American commando they claimed to have captured in Afghanistan. The U.S. military said it had no information to support the claim.
"We killed him at 11 o'clock today; we killed him using a knife and chopped off his head," Taliban spokesman Abdul Latif Hakimi said, adding that the body had been dumped on a mountain in the eastern province of Kunar.
The U.S. military has said it has no information to suggest the Navy SEAL commando, part of a four-man team that went missing during a clash with militants in mountainous Kunar on June 28, has been captured.
Asked about the Taliban claim that the man had been killed, U.S. military spokeswoman Lieutenant Cindy Moore said: "I don't have any information on that."

Will they release a video (proving that he was alive) or is this propaganda?

Will they release a video (proving that he was alive) or is this propaganda? If they release a video, it IS propaganda.
And of course, posting terrorist video propaganda aids the enemy.

I thought we got ride of the Taliban? Or did we just remove them from power?
This soldier's life and that of every murder victim of these inhuman villains *must* be avenged.

I pray that this is propaganda, we have seen nothing to substaniate the fact that they even have him. But I am afraid that the reality of the situation is that he is gone. Prayers for a brother in arms tonight. If he is no longer with us on earth, may God keep him close in heaven.

If it's a truthful claim, make no mistake about it, Al-Jazeerah or one of the Islamo-Whacko websites will have the video.

Yeah, true. My thinking was that of they never had him or he was dead upon finding him on the mountain. I will hate them more (very little room left) if they had our boy alive. BTW, they had done this before. So SEALS really will pay this one back ten fold!

Yeah, I noticed.
If the Taliban release a video of our soldier being murdered, it's possible that some idiot will post it here. Then I will ask them why they are helping the enemy.

TALIBAN CLAIM IT HAS KILLED MISSING US SOLDIER,... Okay, Nancy, Ted, Turbin, Osama, Chuck, and the rest, start spinning this at OUR expense to promote your own unworthy existence in your positions presently.
For God's sake don't make comment placing the USA as priority...(Don't take my comments to heart Osama, YOUR placement in comment is known.)

Try asking me directly, then. It's what someone with even an adequate pair of grapes might be expected to do.
While you're at it: try cobbling up a defensible rationale of how pointing out the barbarism of our opponents in this war in any way = "helping the enemy."
Thank G-d we didn't have a similarly atrophied mindset during WWII!
