Berlin (dpa) - A far-right party in Germany said Wednesday that foreigners living in the country should be put into ``collection camps'' and then expelled if French-style violence breaks out.
The National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD), which last year won 9.2 per cent of the vote in Saxony state and has 12 seats in the regional parliament, called for laws aimed at reducing the population of resident foreigners.
Germany has about 7.3 million foreigners who comprise some 9 per cent of the total population.
``If riots are organised like in France then collection camps and vigilantes must be organised in time to protect life and property,'' said the NPD.
It should be pointed out that deportation is a far different destination than a death camp.
Well, at least they HAVE a plan...
They should also arm their citizens...
I suppose it depends where someone would be deported to.
I wonder if this should be applied to all foreigners in Germany. There are pretty big Polish, Hungarian, Romanian and Serbian communities as well. Are they considered dangerous too?

What a novel idea, protecting one's sovereignty by guarding the borders againts illegal entry.
If other countries are successful with this, it may catch on here in the U.S.
It should be pointed out that during WWII FDR put American citizens of Japanese descent into camps. That was pretty common during wartime and periods of strife. Hitler pretty much ruined that, however, paticularly for Germans.
Its just not a realistic or viable suggestion.
Unfortunately people read far more into the comments that exists destroying any viability.
I'm surprised that Germans would even mention camps, given their history with them.
Not to forget that 'Gas' is cheaper than bullets.
And what, pray tell, does Germany consider "far right"? Neo-Nazis? or just the mainstream socialists?
Lots of Turks, too, in Germany.
It was wrong when FDR did and would be wrong now. Same crime, different year.
These riots just might be the wakeup call that Europe so desperately needs....
When mobs of Poles and Hungarians start burning down cities, get back to me.
