Ridgefield Press Jan 29, 2006 PROTEST: Anti-war march planned for Feb. 11
The coalition has about 20 active members, Ms. Schuessler said, but has drawn crowds of over 100 at its anti-war vigils. The last vigil, on Dec. 17, attracted about 50 people, she said. This is our first kind of march through town, she said. Anyone who would like to participate in protests against the Iraq war policy may call her ....

Apparently, Ridgefield, CT will host (yet another) anti-war rally this Sat., Feb. 11.
For a sleepy little town, we've had our share of war protests; the cynicism is getting old, the demonstration itself is more than annoying. Is it better to ignore or join in the freedom of speech process when it comes to these? We need the help of Freepers. Any advice and/or support from like-minded friends (i.e. Pro-USA & Pro-U.S. Troops) is welcome and much appreciated. Thank you.

You could cause a massive traffic jam on the day of their march.

Were going to read the names of the dead and were going to have a drum, she said. ...And maybe read some poetry. How can you argue with this?

You definitely cannot let them have the street to themselves.
Try getting your request for support on some blogs, contact Protest Warriors, contact Rolling Thunder, and any others that are recommended in this Thread.
You don't need to verbally engage them, but don't let them have the street to themselves. The "Silent Majority" during Vietnam were not helpful by sitting on our hands. Expect to be out numbered, but be there.

There is no point in argueing with them. They never change.
What you need to do is stand up and be counted, but make fun of them.
Libs can't stand being made fun of, and they will react in a childish manner. That actually might help.

I'm guessing they have a permit b/c they've done this before with no prob. from P.D.
The humor here is lowering my b.p. Freeps are the best.
To: teresamarquesa
Well .. we absolutely must keep our sense of humor .. because the left definitely doesn't have any.

no, but they have POETRY! ha-ha
To: bill1952
Yes, excellent - we're considering the signs - there is a group wanting to "help" the liberals express their intellect but can always use more sign-holders to join in the merriment.
To: teresamarquesa
Oh .. well .. that should solve everything! LOL!
