This web site has attracted attention as a voice of moderation from the Muslim world.
The website www.sorrynorwaydenmark.com has a clear message from the moderate Arab and Muslim world.
The web site argues that the images of Arab and Muslim wrath at the publication of caricatures of the prophet Mohammed seen around the world are not representative of what Muslims at large feel, and apologizes for and condemns acts of violence against Denmark, Norway and the European Union.
"A group of Arab and Muslim youth who live in Arab nations and other places are behind the web site," Ahmad, one of the founders of the site, told Aftenposten.no. "None of us live in Denmark or Norway. We have no other direct connection to these countries other than that some of us have friends there," Ahmad said.
Ahmad said that the group behind the site is diverse and far from in agreement about everything, but that they felt a strong need to do something after seeing the various violent reactions to the caricatures.
"Because of the oppression of authorities and lack of freedom, many in the Muslim world are afraid to say what they mean. So the stage is left to those who scream loudest and are violent," Ahmad said.
The web site was at first visited primarily by Arabs and Muslims but as word spread it also became a point of interest for European web surfers.
"The response has been fantastic. Our inboxes are overflowing with email of support and thanks from Arabs and Muslims, and also from Europeans and Americans," Ahmad told Aftenposten.no. "We never thought we would get so much attention, we just wanted to ask for peace and understanding."
Ahmad said that the group shrugs off the few negative reactions they have received.
"We believe that this web site is proof that people always prefer to see things from the positive side and that they, regardless of race and religion, want peace and respect," Ahmad said.
The silence. It's getting so loud.
KILL EM ALL!!!!!!!!!!!
Look, I really don't need the sarcasm tag, do I?
It's a start. They should take a lot more proactive action, because silence is seen as complicity, let there be no question of that.

Wow. Thank you for posting that. Finally a voice of reason from what I had beleived to be a society of complete irrationality.
The protests should have been about innocent people being beheaded in their name.
Now we see they care nothing about the innocent bloodshed at all, only that their dirty ugly secret is out.
Seems sincere but could be al Taqiyah. Lying, to advance islam.
We report, you decide.
I hope this guy took out some life insurance before he put up this web site.
Make of them police officers, military officers, and higher ranking public officials...judges,lawyers,lawmakers..put the moderates into the spy agencies to help us...the FBI,CIA,DEA,DIA,NSA etc...where they can really shine..for their new nation...
Teach true Islam in all our schools, and allow them to worship and build more mosques, and Islamic Centers to teach all of us the peaceful way of Islam...
Give them more TV shows and tax funded and govt sponsored religious programs to educate us about peaceful Islam.
We need more public school teachers of the Islamic faith to show the next generation how peaceful they truly are..
The more we open our nation and culture to them the more the peaceful Islamicists will see our good intent and begin to police their own more vigorously as the young turn to peace and put down their swords...
Our president and his family know the Saudi Muslims well and have been in business dealings with them for many years... The Bush family tells us that 'true' Islam is a religion of peace and that we are a nation of tolerance and freedom for all who worship God or god in his or her own way.
This tolerance and acceptance of all 'faiths' is what has made America great..
And lastly...pay no attention to that man behind the curtain
imo
Ask them if they condemn the people who rioted.
They won't; they can't.
More lies.
