In The Face of Evil

AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY ON RONALD REAGAN

AND THE COLD WAR TO AIR ON NATIONAL TELEVISION

DEBUT ON PRESIDENT’S DAY, FEBRUARY 20th

February 8, 2006 —The critically-acclaimed, award-winning documentary, In the Face of Evil: Reagan’s War in Word and Deed will make its national television debut, in a special broadcast by the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) on President’s Day, February 20, 2006 (10 p.m. EST / 7 p.m. PST).  In the Face of Evil details the history of the Cold War and Ronald Reagan’s forty-year campaign to bring an end to Soviet communism and reveals how one man’s faith, determination and unwavering-conviction altered the course of world history. President Reagan was recently voted “The Greatest American” in a nationwide poll conducted by the Discovery Channel and America Online.

In The Face of Evil is based on Peter Schweizer’s acclaimed best-seller, Reagan’s War:  The Epic Story of His Forty Year Struggle and Final Triumph Over Communism.  Schweizer’s book is widely credited with cementing the notion that President Reagan achieved the final victory over communism through direct confrontation with the enemy.

Originally released in theatres in Fall, 2004, for a limited theatrical run, In the Face of Evil broke box-office attendance records for a documentary, in a number of cities where it was screened. At that time, the film received critical praise from all sectors of the media and was the recipient of several awards from the film industry and prominent film festivals.

Tim Watkins, president of Leo McWatkins Films and producer/co-director of In the Face of Evil says, “We wanted to tell the true story of this amazing man’s conquest and triumph over evil during the 20th century, the bloodiest and most barbaric century in mankind’s history.”

Leo McWatkins Films (LMF), Inc. is a Maryland-based production company providing research, development and production resources for theatrical, documentary and episodic programming. Founded by Timothy Watkins and Jennifer Leo Stine, Leo McWatkins Films focuses on programming and film creation that embodies core values, cultural interests and quality of life themes.

TBN is the world’s largest religious network and America’s most watched faith channel, according to Neilsen ratings.  TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeals to people in a wide variety of denominations.

"A brilliant effort...extremely well done."

Rush Limbaugh, Number-One Syndicated Radio Talk Host

A powerful portrayal of a critical point in history that exposes the intensity of the struggle against communism and President Reagan’s campaign for victory. As someone who had lived these times, I was very moved by the detail and emotion in which they were brought out on film. The lessons of our struggle against the evil empire are more relevant than ever in regards to the conflict of today’s world.”

Lech Walesa, Nobel Laureate and former President of Poland

“In the Face of Evil... is a film of unusual scope and richness that clarifies the present struggle against terrorism as a continuation of the last century's war against totalitarianism.”

The Liberty Film Festival, who ranked In the Face of Evil the best documentary film of 2004

“An epic homage to Ronald Reagan and his war on Communism.”

William Booth, Washington Post

“IN THE FACE OF EVIL is brilliant. It is also thoroughly captivating and very moving. The movie clearly exposes the evils behind the totalitarian regimes of Adolph Hitler and the Communists in the Soviet Union, Cuba and Latin America. It also gives a wonderful exposition of President Reagan’s character, including his strong faith in God, and shows the importance that Christianity played in helping the United States to defeat the Soviet Union.

The headline says Dec. 20 --- it should read FEB. 20, 2006.

It'll just make me sad. It'll make me want to paraphrase Lloyd Bentsen, and say to just about every Republican in office (including presidents who refer to a "religion of peace") "Sir, you're no Ronald Reagan".

Yes, it's very well done.
It amazes me that so many Republicans criticize RR for not standing up to terrorism when he was responsible for confronting, and defeating, the predominant instigator and propagator of terrorism at that time, the USSR.

Have not seen it yet but it received excellent reviews at the Conservative Film Festival.... and is based on this book (which is an excellent read)

Cool. I actually should have the DVD waiting for me at home today from Netflix. And amazing that Netflix has it, considering their far left political donations. I am looking forward to seeing it.
