Former U.S. president Bill Clinton charmed an Edmonton audience Thursday night with his charisma and magical personality. More than 7,000 paid up to $200 each to hear the 59-year-old two-term Democrat president speak about Canada-U.S. relations and our countrys continuing military role in Afghanistan.
But it wasnt so much what he said but the way he said it - with confidence and sincerity. Those in the audience sat mesmerized by his words, feeling they were part of a private chat rather than listening a speech in a big arena. Despite a White House sex scandal that made him the first president to face impeachment proceedings since Richard Nixon, he left office more popular than when he entered. He is now the most sought-after celebrity speaker in the world, taking in a reported $150,000 for the one-hour speech.
Why do you think Clinton remains so popular?

MSM revisionism and the legions of spin minions play a large role.

Because Bill Clinton is a charming fellow. Of course, so is Lucifer!

There a lot of people out there with Bill Clinton's temperament. No matter what they do or say a lot of people just love them.
My father in law was one of those people. A Baptist "preacher". He made Clinton look like a piker, yet you were really pressed hard to find a single person that would tell you that they could not stand him.

This is an easy one. To liberals and democrats, he is the LAST one of "them" who was successful. Good memories, good times for them.

Because (unlike with Republicans) the media hid all of his vicious moments. Rush Limbaugh use to show video clips of what Bill Clinton is really like. One showed him at his first Easter Party at the White House cursing out an aide for not having enough easter eggs. If video clips like that were released to the general public, everyone would know what Clinton is really like.

He is nothing more than a good used car salesman. He has never had the media, professors, teachers say anything bad about him.

Isn't Michael Jackson also popular with kids ?
To: johnny7
I don't know why other people feel as they do, I only know about how I feel. And he isn't popular with me, so there.
(Perhaps a narrow view, but trying to guess the reasons for others' feelings and emotions is kind of a sucker's game.)
