Two things:
1. They had a CD the FBI has not been able to decrypt (although the FBI is notoriously incompetent in regards to anything connected with computers--wonder if they even consulted with anyone).
2. Plans to disrupt the GPS? Does anyone know if this would be conceivable, or would this be a pipe-dream discussion amoung young men?

Some things sound rather bogus in this story. First, any CD that is encrypted...can be broken down. It might take a week or two...but nothing is sacred and beyond being broken down. Its just a matter of time. Second...to disrupt GPS...would be almost impossible. You could possibly hit one of the satellites and thus cause a regional outage for a period of time...but that means you need to use a missile and have a precise targeting method of getting close to that one GPS satellite. The Russians are capable of that...and the Chinese might be...but some 3rd world terror ring? Just can't see that. One would get the impression that these guys aren't the smartest in the world and probably watched too many episodes of Stargate. The amusing thing here is that they never once thought that they were already tagged and being followed...which means their secrecy level is next to nothing.
