You're obviously making the error of thinking you can defeat terrorists by defending every box, package, ship, airplane, letter, car, train and bus.

This is stupid and futile.

You are absolutely correct. Democrats would rather put America on the defensive and let terrorism come to us. The other issue that is so disengenuous about the Democrat's claims above is that their concern is for their constituency rather than security.

That is, Democrats want more money thrown at unions and public sector expansion. Just like the original debate over airline security, Democrats want to use this threat to employ and expand the government workforce...generally with people who are unqualified to be in such positions.
