This was an email sent out to the families of USMC 1-32, serving in Afghanistan.

I thought it was an exceptionally well written email, and wanted to share it with the Free Republic community.

What a great e-mail! Thanks for posting it. We are incredibly fortunate to have the strength, courage, and resolve of our military, and there are some who should be reminded of this on a daily basis - Murtha, Kerry, Lament, all the rest of the dems - the list is a long one!

Their efforts and their sacrifice have been in the service of a just cause, and an important one. The enemy we fight is not some strange group of unknowns in a far-off land; this enemy is the direct enemy of the United States, the very groups and their associates who launched the attacks of 9/11, 2001. When we fight here, dear members of the Chosin Family, we are fighting America's fight. We are defending the way of life we cherish for each of you, and we are carving out the future that we want our children to have. How nice to see this after an email I got from a "Bush Lied Liberal" whom I have started calling Mahmoud since his views mirror those of the Iranian President. During one of his rants, I asked if he was speaking to me or running for President of Iran.

His email was eight "letters" from a person who said he was a civilian employed by the Army named Kurt Wolfe U.S. Army 3rd ID/ PAO/Civ.

From his writing he seems to be a journalist of some sort. I actually couldn't stomach much of the letters since they are obviously written by someone who thinks war is a video game or paint ball experience where no harm should ever befall anyone.
