I had to laugh. Watching Clinton scold, and wag that bony finger again on television, brought back fond memories of The Big Lie. Every time he lies, he gets self-righteous, angry, red-faced and in-your-face as he was with Chris Wallace of FoxNews, who merely asked Himself a standard interview question thats been asked of President Bush, oh, about a thousand times.
Wallace asked Clinton why he didn't do more to put bin Laden and al-Qaida out of business when he was president. When Clinton went ballistic on this query, I thought, So . whats this second Big Lie? and I also thought that the Path to 9/11 ABC-TV docudrama must have been utterly true, and that furthermore, the question was a darned good one.
At some level, I feel sort of bad for him. I mean here he was just a few years ago enjoying himself royally in the White House with a young intern while Rome burned and, later, 3,000 innocent Americans of every color, age, political bent and gender, died in the most unimaginably horrifying and savage way, devastating families across America. And many people think it was Mr. Clintons fault for partying his way through office and squandering those 8 long years in the White House. I mean, that guilts got to wear on you. Could it be that the Shameless Mr. Clinton has some shame after all?
So, he has taken up his own defense. To be fair, lets give Mr. Clinton a hearing and compare what he says to the evidence as posed by others. Perhaps he wasnt as feckless and reckless as some think:
Clinton claims that he came very close to killing Osama Bin Laden with the 1998 Cruise Missile Strike into Afghanistan. General Anthony Zinni, USMC (Retired), who is left of center and not a friend of the Bush policy in Iraq, has stated that this is simply untrue. He says that there was no intelligence suggesting that Bin Laden was in the target area. Zinni was commanding General of CENTCOM at the time.
President Clinton claims that he handed over a comprehensive counterterrorism plan to the Bush administration and cites Richard Clarke as a source to confirm this. But Clarke basically testified to the contrary in front of the 9-11 Commission, and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has confirmed Clarke, stating that the Clinton administration left no comprehensive plan to fight al-Qaida. "What we did in the eight months was at least as aggressive as what the Clinton administration did in the preceding years," said Secretary Rice.
No mention was made of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing in President Clinton's heated response to Wallace. But the available information at the time indicates that Clinton was somewhat less than obsessed with terrorism. His CIA director at the time, James Woolsey, says he did not have a bad relationship with the president. He had no relationship with President Clinton and resigned in frustration. Mr. Clintons relationship with FBI Director Louis Freeh was no better. According to Freeh's book, "My FBI: Bringing Down the Mafia, Investigating Bill Clinton, and Fighting the War on Terror", 2005, p. 246, the author, responding to a question of how often he met with the President during his early years of service stated, To the best of my recollection, the answer is one time, maybe two, maybe three times in the entire seven-plus years I worked under Bill Clinton. Add in phone calls and the total might climb to a half a dozen on the outside." Hard to believe that Clinton was even slightly concerned about terrorism if he was ignoring his own CIA director, who, by the way, is no right winger but a lifelong Democrat, and his FBI Director.
Clinton made no mention of the Khobar Towers bombing of 1996. No wonder: FBI director Louis Freeh states emphatically that Clinton stonewalled on the investigation and refused to press the Sauds for more cooperation. Freeh finally went around Clinton and got former President Bush to clear the way with the Sauds.
No amount of finger-wagging can change the record. Clinton's own national security folks say he was not engaged on terrorism. Just as the Center for Security Policy detailed in the 2000 special report, Clinton's Legacy: The Dangerous Decade, national security problems of all sorts were kicked down the road from 1993 to 2001.
Nowhere is this made more clear than in President Clinton's autobiography My Life. One has to go beyond page 600 to find terrorism even mentioned. Al Qaeda does not appear until after page 700.
So, I leave it to our readers to decide if Chris Wallace deserved that rage-filled finger wagging session from One Angry Democrat on Sunday. Some say it was a cynical attempt to present the Democrats as being tough on terrorism. Oh really? If so, like all else the Democrats do that concern national security and their will to fight the terrorists who threaten our very existence, it failed. Frankly, I think the old boy has lost his touch.
The biggest lie that ****head ever told was "I feel your pain." A psychopath can't do that and Slickkk knows that. He was laughing at us every time he said that.
No, usually he just moves his lips. Clinton saves the red-faced finger-pointing lies for special occasions.
And yet many Americans willingly allow themselves to blindly follow this lying, pathological political pied piper.
I have never been able to understand that.
You gotta see it to believe it.....
"No one ever had to endure someone like Ken Starr...
No one ever had to try to save people from ethnic cleansing...
I got a standing ovation from the United Nations from the whole world..."

Well said...and many will also be willing to follow his cloven-hoofed wife!
Great article - the Woolsey & Freeh info here clear things up on this matter. We elected a president who did not take stuff like this seriously. The only real enemies the Clinton administration could see where conservative Republicans.
I purposely stayed in the military long enough to ensure that dirtbag's signature wasn't on any of my retirement documents.
What a complete embarrassment he is.

That quote about the UN is telling. The Dem Party is serious about that whole "global test" thing that John Kerry talked about. Clinton is proudest that he was cheered by the UN. Last week we were treated to what the UN is all about and those are Clinton's friends?
It's almost as if he is as far off the deep end as Michael Moore, who goes to foreign countries and declares that Americans are the dumbest people in the world.
Because lefties won't betray other lefties. Lying is acceptable if it's for the common cause.
The red-faced, finger-pointing appears to be reserved for when ol BJBilly gets caught.
What? You didn't want your records stained?
bttt
LOL!
Nor the stench.

Clever, clever tagline!
Thanks, great article.
Go Tigers!
I think it analogous to a broken-boned, black-eyed, bruised and abused spouse "stand[ing] by [her] man."
- Perhaps she gave up her whole life to be with her husband and finds herself unable to go back over burnt bridges.
- Perhaps her marriage vows and Christianity were so strongly impressed upon her that she tells herself there can be no other life for her outside that "marriage."
For such people, trusting a Republican is simply anathema, or emotionally equivalent to welcoming bag-lady status (in the case of my sister). In some cases, they've sold their souls to ride the crest of the wave with Clinton in ways they never otherwise would have been able to do, e.g., NEA "teachers" or administrators and "grief counselors". Or perhaps they gained fame, fortune, or an hour in the Lincoln bedroom through following Clinton's corrupting influence. Or maybe they stand at the ready with a BJ-for-BJ because he kept abortion "out of the back alleys."
