My quibble is with the MSM and even some Freepers calling "AK-47 styled" weapons, AK-47s. It only blurs the lines and confuses the situation for the soccer moms and the uninformed. Whenever the MSM does a piece on assault weapons in this country, they inevitably show someone with a machine gun, letting it rip. Either they are too stupid to know the difference, or it is intentional propaganda.

I probably didn't word my post above as well as it could have been, but I was only talking about true AK-47s (machine guns if you will) being banned. AK-47 styled weapons (semiautos) were even legal to be produced and sold in this country after the AWB, if they didn't contain too many "evil features," like pistol grip stocks, bayonet lugs, etc. That is why there were so many rifles produced with the so-called butt-hole stocks after the AWB went into effect.
