SHARON - As he awaits a deportation hearing, Imam Muhammad Masood has been buoyed by support from Christian and Jewish clergy.
During a 90-minute meeting with the imam on Wednesday, seven rabbis, Protestant pastors and a representative from the local Roman Catholic parish pledged a variety of help for the Sharon mosque’s former spiritual director - snip
The deportation case is based on the denial of the 2001 application for a religious-worker visa, and on his alleged failure to return to Pakistan in 1991, as required by a student visa he used to enroll at Boston University in 1988.
Imam Masood has said he did go home, although Joyce says he has admitted that he returned to the United States illegally in 1993. Joyce says the imam later paid a $7,000 penalty as part of a federal amnesty program and thus believed he was cleared for his 2001 visa application.
Imam Masood had been spiritual director at the Sharon mosque since 1998. He was removed from that position by the Islamic Center board in the weeks after his bail hearing and has not been paid in two months.

Unfortunately, the same thing is happening all over. This interfaith garbage with Muslims has to stop. It's nothing more than an Islamic ploy being used on those who want to believe there is actually something good about Islam.
The imam of Ohio's largest mosque got deported about a month ago for lying on his papers, failing to mention his ties to Islamic Jihad. "Community reaction" was about the same as it is in Sharon, MA.
They fail to realize that if the tables were turned and they were in a muslim country he would not do the same for them.
They're fools.
Sharon is also one of the most liberal towns in MA...and that's saying something!

...but it is a HEALTHY lunch because this was one of the first towns to have an outdoor smoking ban.
Shooting is outlawed in the town also, but paradoxically, a grandfathered rifle and pistol range exists.
A monster housing community is trying to get built near town lines, so as to load the adjacent towns' roads with the traffic and expenses, leaving Sharon nice and pristine.
Sharon is a Berkely-like turd, floating in the Massachusetts cesspool.

For every mosque they build here lets suggest they allow a bodacious church be built in SA.
