DAVID SCHIPPERS: "Hillary Clinton is Evil Incarnate" Free Republic ^ | 4-26-02 | Doug from Upland

Posted on 04/26/2002 10:03:19 PM PDT by doug from upland

David Schippers, the man called in by Henry Hyde to be chief counsel of the impeachment of William Jefferson Blythe Clinton, has been very candid and succinct in his description of Hillary Clinton. When asked about her on FreeRepublic Radio, he described her as "evil incarnate."

He also described Bill Clinton as the worst thing to ever happen to this country.

Those who are still wearing the ceremonial kneepads and drinking the Clinton Kool-Aid are hard pressed to criticize Schippers as a member of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Schippers, you see, is a life long Democrat. Schippers, working under Robert Kennedy, helped take down the Chicago mob. Schippers voted twice for Bill Clinton.

More than anyone else, Schippers knew the evidence against Clinton. He was extremely disappointed and disgusted with the GOP leadership in the Senate who refused to do their duty under the Constitution. And, of course, not one Senator went to the Ford Building to view any of the evidence regarding the massive amount of criminal activity by Clinton and his gang.

In a discussion with him last year, Schippers told me that he expected to be busy for just a few weeks after he had been called by Hyde. "The amount of criminality I discovered," said Schippers, "astounded me."

From all the FReepers, a great big thank you for coming on FreeRepublic Radio to a very honorable man.

Speak for yourself. I think Schippers is full of crap.

Schippers voted twice for Bill Clinton.

When you realize what Schippers had to know about Bill Clinton before he voted for him a second time, you understand where I'm coming from.

Good post, but you damn well this will be spun into "old news" by the clinton machine. Thanks for your effort, but it's time to concentrate on her Heinous' latest foibles. The current presidential admistration, the current Congress, the current public no longer cares. FOCUS on her recent flip-flops - it killed Kerry. SWIFT-BOAT her ass. Eeeuw, did I just give a spew visual? Sorry...leaving computer to wash my eyes.......

Schippers was not called by Hyde until the SECOND term! As a Democrat, what would he “have” to know about Clinton?

No I don’t understand where you are coming from.

BTW: In another venue, Schippers said that he became convinced of the massive criminality when he was face to face with the Clinton minions and realized that they were lying through their teeth. As a prosecutor he stated that it was just like going up against the mob.

Just about everyone here on this site today who is older enough to remember 1992 knew damn well that Clinton was a corrupt, draft-dodging motherf#%&er who had no business holding office in this country.

Anyone who had any delusions about that -- and not just people operating in some kind of prosecutorial or investigative capacity -- had plenty of exposure to the corruption and crime of the Clinton administration from 1993-96 just by reading the newspaper and/or watching the network news every day.

For Schippers to say that he voted for this corrupt, draft-dodging motherf#%&er TWICE, then claim that he suddenly "found the light" in 1998, and now (as of 2002) considers Hillary Clinton to be "evil incarnate" -- well, that's just a lot of crap as far as I'm concerned.

It's worth noting that Schippers has never -- not once -- come out and explained in detail what he learned about the Clinton administration in 1998 that he didn't already know when he voted for him in 1996.

I call "bullsh!t" on this one.

motherf#%&er

I know you're using this as a condemnation of the man generally, but I've always had a weird feeling about Billy Jeff's relationship with his momma. A real weird feeling about it.

Fair enough. You can have your opinion. And I have the right to call your responses bullsh**.

That's fine -- but I think my logic there is pretty solid. Either Schippers was full of crap, or he was the most simplistic idiot east of Paris Hilton ever to have his 15 minutes of fame in this country.

How many book sales did he eventually attribute to his appearance on your radio show?

I hear ya. When they eventually get around to writing an honest historical account of the 1990s, we’re probably going to learn that this country survived an eight-year period in which our chief executive was a certifiable loony-tune.

He was a Democrat living in Chicago reading Chicago papers. He was undoubtedly dismissive of the charges of corruption as being the same stuff “everybody does”.

Why should we throw a convert under the bus?

Schippers has made public charges against Bill Clinton, in print, that would be characterized as libel if Clinton wanted to take him to court. Of course Schippers and Clinton know that Clinton would have to prove the charges false.

Schippers is a genuine hero. While working with the Kennedy Justice Department, he helped take down the Chicago mob. He was busy with his private law practice and really didn’t pay a great deal of attention to the partisan battles when Henry Hyde made the call. As I stated, he was astounded with what his investigation uncovered. He did all that he could to get rid of Clinton.

Their minds were already made up.
The fix was in.
To protect their own little glass houses.
They opted to throw no stones.

Sure makes you wonder what was on those stolen FBI files. Or is that just how it works in Washington? The powerful protect the powers that be.

Even though it's been all these years, the whole thing still makes me sick. The people got the shaft and the Clinton's walked.

And I knew it at the time that Hillary would re-emerge to threaten us again. We had to put a stake into the heart of the vampire, but Trent Lott became the biggest wimp of all.

"The amount of criminality I discovered," said Schippers, "astounded me." ...Schippers book Sellout is a detailed and eye-opening history of the attempt to impeach Clinton - "...a stunning indictment of President Clinton's corruption - and of the congressional leaders who let him get away with it", as the jacket says......

He was a Democrat living in Chicago reading Chicago papers. He was undoubtedly dismissive of the charges of corruption as being the same stuff “everybody does”.

If he were so dismissive of the charges, he would have rejected Hyde's offer to serve as the prosecutor.

My take on Schippers is that he's a life-long government hack who jumped at the opportunity to make a name for himself by serving in that capacity. Once his time in the media spotlight was over he wanted to cash in on his fame by doing interviews, selling books, etc. -- and since he realized that most Democrats are functionally illiterate at best, he'd have to ingratiate himself with conservative media outlets to enhance his prospects.

Why should we throw a convert under the bus?

I'm not throwing him under the bus . . . I'm simply pointing out that I think he's full of it. And that goes for any other former Democrat and/or liberal who "sees the light" these days -- including Dick Morris, Dennis Miller, etc.

All Schippers has to do is reveal the contents of those files that have been locked away in the Federal archives for 25+ years. The fact that he has steadfastly refused to do so over the years puts an enormous dent in his credibility.
