Reuters

"SLAY THREAT BY TALIBAN"

Oh jeez...another "slay threat by Taliban?"

I'm beginning to lose count.

It looks like "mine clearing" is the latest of crimes to be punished by the Taliban.

Add this to the list of:

Flying kites

Listening to music

Wearing fingernail polish (women)

Exposing an ankle (women)

Reading a book (women)

Haircuts and shaving (men)

Walking in public without male escort (women)

Improperly clothed (women)

Watching TV

etc., etc.

Depends on from where or who these 18 are - If they are Afghani (likely) (and in particular Pashtuns) I doubt very much they will be killed in mass.....And if so, it will only further drive the Taliban away from the very tribal people they need to have any chance of eking out their survivals...
