BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) ― Eyewitness News has learned a Baltimore County teacher is accused of stabbing a student in the hand.
The incident happened Wednesday morning at Randallstown High School. Baltimore County police tell Eyewitness News the 17-year-old boy was standing over the teacher's desk. The teacher had asked the boy to be seated several times. Finally, the teacher told the boy to step back and when he didn't, she stabbed him in the hand with either a pen or a pencil.
Police are still investigating the incident, but so far no charges have been filed.

Can’t say the kid didn’t deserve it...although I wonder what “stab” means. Stab or STAB?

My guess is that the teacher got her “point” across to the student.

Didn’t the Drill Sergeant in “Starship Troopers” do something similar?

In public schools today that is a “man bites dog” story, sad to say.

Until I hear otherwise, it sounds like a reasonable self-defense measure against someone that wouldn’t comply with instructions and could reasonably be considered threatening to the teacher.
Which probably means pens and pencils will fall under new zero tolerance guidelines and everyone will be required to write with a really soft chalk to avoid injuring people.

From the info provided, it could possibly be a case of the student trying to physically intimidate the teacher, and she resorted to force.

A metal ruler across the knuckles worked fine for the nuns in the Olden Days. I sense a certain lack of sympathy for the young thug er, man. I share it.

When stabbing and pencil are in the same sentence, there’s usually a girl or teacher involved.
When stabbing and bayonet are in the same sentence, wake me up!

Randlestown High used to be one of the finest schools in Baltimore County. All of us inner city kids were kind of envious. Then the population changed in Randlestown, and now it’s a black hole. And we owe the perps an apology for slavery? I’d say the old amends agenda needs a little updating.

I got stabbed with a pencil in the hand in the 7th grade back in Dallas...I still have the little spot where the lead tattoo’d me in the palm...
The kid that that stabbed me lost a few teeth, and accidentally broke his nose on the end of my knuckles...Poor guy...And to think both of us got pops for the incident???
I’m still trying to figure that one out to this day...I think that was about 30 some odd years ago...
Geesh...Will they ever learn...;-)
