WASHINGTON (AFP) - US First Lady Laura Bush said Wednesday she was unruffled by a barrage of election-season criticism against President George W. Bush, whose successes, she vowed, would be given due credit some day.
“I think that over the long term, as historians look at his presidency, there are so many, many accomplishments,” she said in a television interview.
“When the partisan rancor is gone that that’s what will show up.”
