Ya don't say ... every day we see someone who wants to injects race into this presidential campaign. Often times it is coming right from the Big O himself. Other times it is coming from Democrats (like Bill Clinton) or other liberals. This time it comes from Timothy Noah on Slate.com.

Do you remember a few days ago when I read you a column from the Wall Street Journal about whether or not Barack Obama's skinniness would be a liability in the campaign?

Well according to Timothy Noah, this was a racist article. Was the article lacking in journalistic expertise? Perhaps. But racist? Timothy Noah is just asking for a good whopping with this one. Look at how hard he has to try to "prove" his point.
"When white people are invited to think about Obama's physical appearance, the principal attribute they're likely to dwell on is his dark skin. Consequently, any reference to Obama's other physical attributes can't help coming off as a coy walk around the barn. The sad fact is that any discussion of Obama's physical appearance is going to remind white people of the physical characteristic that's most on their minds."
I told you folks. Ultimately race is going to play a bigger an bigger role in this election. Now we have this Slate Magazine "journalist" telling us that referring to Obama's weight somehow constitutes a comment about his being black. This is honestly what this election has come down to. It is all about skin color. There will be virtually NOTHING that anyone can say about Barack Obama that will not, if negative, be about race.
You think this is bad during the election? Wait until he's president! Any disagreement with any Obama policy will be race based.
Racial polarization? You haven't seen anything yet.
Paris Hilton is skinny. Is that racist?
But since we're talking about "skinny" Obama is not a "skinny"(Somalian) he is a Kenyan.
With the sheeple in unison, maybe Sen. Osama would be a valid President???
you must be an anti-blondite
By the way, does anyone else find it curious that there is almost no mention of his being a long time smoker? I wonder if it will be mentioned in the context of his health when he chooses a VP candidate.
Just don't suggest that he smokes Cools.
Okay, what do YOU look at first?
Obama has set race relations back 50 years
Amazing that in the year 2008 we are still talking about affirmative action, quotas, apologies and...reparations.
Article on littlegreenfootballs lists in depth Obama’s work on quotas
It really is sad that in this melting pot of America, we cant get past this
Has anyone noticed how nowadays the rich are skinny and running around working their heads off and the poor are fat and don’t do anything but lay around? Is that wierd or what?
If you look at it using that standard the newcomers need to get at the back of the line. I'm waiting for mine!! But I won't hold my breath. I am an American of Scottish decent. I am not a Scottish-American.
The balance in her checkbook?
Does he still smoke???
not that long ago a Catholic couldn’t get elected President where’s my reparations boo hoo
[By the way, does anyone else find it curious that there is almost no mention of his being a long time smoker?]
No will power, Just what I want in a leader!
“skinny”
“qualified”
“well dressed, well-spoken black man”
“ears”
All racist. Don’t get me started with ‘niggardly’....
So who is the racist bastard that is saying all white folks are fat??
Then you would support a non-smoker like Ted Kennedy?
He may be a great pig of a murdering drunk, but thank God he doesn't smoke!
Anything ... and I mean anything ... will be turned into racism, sexism or any other —ism to get people to stop fighting for what is best for them.
Fight through it folks...your life and liberty depends on it.
