102 Minutes that Changed America trails only Life After People for The History Channel audience. By Marisa Guthrie -- Broadcasting & Cable, 9/15/2008 2:15:00 PM
The History Channel scored its second-largest audience ever with Sept. 11 anniversary special 102 Minutes that Changed America. 102 Minutes that Changed America
The documentary -- which aired commercial-free on the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. -- was watched by 5.2 million people, according to Nielsen, including 2.9 million viewers in the network's sales demographic of 25- to 54-year-olds.
"We are proud and overwhelmed with the reaction to the special," said Nancy Dubuc, executive vice president and general manager of the network. "At History, we believe it is our responsibility as archivists of history to create a lasting document, one that can be used in 10, 20 or 50 years to communicate what it was like to live through the morning of 9/11.
The most-watched telecast for the network was Life After People, about what the earth might be like without humans, which attracted an audience of 5.4 million when it aired in January.

Of interest to you, most likely.
I watched part of it. Powerful.
I watched the whole thing. Riveting television.
I watched and cried, and cried again. Feels just like yesterday.
It is amazing that the networks wouldn't want to do something like this, but then, they wouldn't want to remind Americans that their hand picked candidate might be weak on defense.
"Inside 9-11" from National Geographic is among the best, and I really think "Flight 93" and "United 93" were well done.
How does this new one from the History Channel compare?
Also, anyone know when "The Path to 9-11" will be released to DVD now that Hillary is out of the election process?
Or will NBC/Disney continue to NOT make millions of dollars from the DVD sales as a result of the Clintons blackmailing and threatening them?
Abb that rerun they have that last year but this time they have new footage some of the footage I never seen before
That History channel good for it this and Iced Road Truckers
I saw it. It was indeed moving. Made me feel like I was there. And as a NYC area resident, it felt close enough on that day also.
I know, it took me right back to that day. My husband and I watched and I don't think we spoke a single word the whole show.
The History Channel is effectively co-owned by ABC and NBC.
I watched that last night and angrily kept blurting out, “Dead” over and over during the show realizing the Firemen and Policemen (non-gender specific version of those terms) making radio calls from the high floors would never make it out. Emergency workers near the base of the building would be crushed, even the wounded who weren’t evacuated as of the collapse, though outside, would die too.
And the media runs everything bad about America, taking some terrorist or terrorist’s lawyer’s word for it, but never the historical record of 911.
This one is strictly amateur footage but it’s very well done. I think it was 7 different people who were video taping that day, from when it all started and throughout the day. It’s not narrated; you just see and hear what was going on around them. It’s really riveting.

The visceral reactions of the people near the end of program are something the MSM want you to forget.
Will be re-aired for those that missed it? Can it be purchased?
Watched it and it was truly up close and personal. The videos are what I call the new Zupruders or Zupruders for the 21st century. How can some people believe in 9/11 conspiracy theories?
