John McCain didn't give up. He wasn't taking a vacation in Hanoi. His faith brought through. None of us are perfect but with faith we can all be extraordinary. Get out there and step in faith. This season requires we all do our part and I know most of us here are more involved than we know what to do. We have families. We work hard for our money but we need to work harder.

If you have thought about writing a letter to your local paper take a step in faith and do it.

If you have wanted a bumper sticker or a sign but didn't know where to get one take a step in faith and go out and find them.

If you have thought about helping canvas your neighborhood then step in faith and do it.

If you have wanted to give to help protect this nation and your values step in faith and do it.

We can all be heros in small ways. Being defeated is as easy as not showing up for the fight.

It was a movie I was for some reason reluctant to watch. My wife had suggested it and the other night we were sitting on the couch perusing for something to watch and it was available on demand so I started watching it. It was uplifting and I recommend it for anyone.

A guy my husband works with let us borrow it. My 7YO and I watched it last year when our church did it’s annual Mother/Son Movie Night. Great movie!

Sherwood Baptist’s next movie, “Fireproof”, opens Friday. Hope it has a big opening weekend.

That scene with the kid crawling across the football field never fails to bring tears and goosebumps. A great movie. I can’t recommend it enough.

The brother of a freind of mine was an extra in the film. My kids always point him out.
