A Vancouver lawyer says she plans to lay criminal charges against former president George W. Bush when he visits Calgary on March 17. “I’m going to attempt to initiate a private prosecution against him for torture,” Gail Davidson, cofounder of Lawyers Against the War, told the Straight in a phone interview.
In a February 23 letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper and four federal cabinet ministers, the group requested that Bush be denied entry into Canada in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Along with individuals, the act bars senior members of a government that has committed offences listed in the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes Act from entering the country. Torture is listed in the appendix to the act as a crime against humanity.

It is funny up until the point that you think that it could actually happen. Most people don't either remember or understand how close Rumsfeld was to being indicted in Germany for "war crimes". It didn't get much play here, but it was a big story there.
Secondly, Obama will absolutely make the US signatories to the International Criminal Court. It may not be Bush (although it may), but some people are certainly going to be indicted in an international court at some time in the foreseeable future. Hope and Change.
