ACORN got $53 million in federal funds since 94, now eligible for up to $8 billion more

At least $53 million in federal funds have gone to ACORN activists since 1994, and the controversial group could get up to $8.5 billion more tax dollars despite being under investigation for voter registration fraud in a dozen states. The economic stimulus bill enacted in February contains $3 billion that the non-profit activist group known more formally as the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now could receive, and 2010 federal budget contains another $5.5 billion that could also find its way into the group’s coffers. An Examiner review of federal spending data found that ACORN has received at least $53 million in federal money since 1994. A downloadable spreadsheet of the $53 million is posted on washingtonexaminer.com.

This acorn thing alone is grounds for a political revolt. Stealing $8 BILLION from us for Obama’s political action group.

Meanwhile, Republicans debate the need to become more squishy.

Hitler’s Brown Shirts - led by homosexuals.
Obama’s Acorn - led by corrupt, black racist thugs.

Who said it couldn’t happen again?
Who said “NEVER AGAIN”?

Well - our dumb ass self loathing Marxist Jews, Black Racists, Leftists, welfare addicted, drug addicted, perverts and the plain just stupid — made it possible to in fact happen again...

It's so nice that a criminal organization can receive taxpayer dollars while continuing their criminal activities. At least Bachman is one R with some guts, but most of the rest are gutless.

meh...

Sit down. Shut up. Pay your taxes. Vote for more of the same next election cycle.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

We never learn.

ACORN is an illicit arm of the DNC and has only one constituency (backs).

This is the type of thing that makes my blood boil. They are taking MY tax dollars and giving it to a criminal enterprise in order to steal more seats for the RATS.

Public sector unions are another case in point. The tax payer funds these unions who donate to Democrats.

So what we are doing is funding Democrat vote-getting machine.

ACORN IS PERHAPS THE MOST DANGEROUS THREAT TO AMERICANS THAT OBAMA HAS UNLEASHED TO DATE.

ACORN IS A GANG OF THUGS, AND IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE MAFIA IN THE PAST.

I HAVE HAD PERSON CONTACT WITH THESE PEOPLE ON TWO OCCASIONS, AND IN BOTH CASES THEY WERE THREATENING AND ATTEMPTING TO INTIMIDATE.

I YOU HAVE NEVER CALLED YOUR CONGRESS CRITTER/BEFORE, DO IT NOW!! CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT A GANG OF THUGS CAN DO WITH FOUR BILLION DOLLARS??!!

REMEMBER WHEN OBAMA SAID HE WANTS A “SECOND ARMY - NOT PART OF THE STANDING MILITARY ARMY, BUT AN INDEPENDENT ONE THAT ANSWERS ONLY TO HIM”.

WHAT BETTER WAY THAN USE $4,000,000,000 TO ESTABLISH HIS DREAMED OF ARMY?

READ THE HISTORY LINK BELOW, READ THE SIMILARITIES TO THE STORM TROOPERS. (THEN REMIND YOURSELF AND EVERYBODY YOU KNOW, THAT MUSOLINI ALSO DID THIS.)

Of all the gigantic scandals of the new Obama Administration this is the biggest one.

Think how much work goes toward raising 20,000 dollars via Friends of NRA banquets. That 20K is only 1/50th of a million. Those that don’t agree with the NRA do not have to support via taxes. But those of us who volunteer and contribute toward such causes also have to give to those who oppose the NRA via such Obama unconstitutional grants.

We’re giving to both sides and ACORN is to be the much better funded.

Michele Bachmann and Barney Frank may be heading for legislative showdown

http://www.minnpost.com/cynthiadizikes/2009/05/01/8509/michele_bachmann_and_barney_frank_may_be_heading_for_legislative_showdown

During a markup of the Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2009 this week, Bachmann successfully offered an amendment on voice vote that would prohibit funding in the bill from going to organizations or individuals that have been indicted for voter fraud.

“I want to ensure that organizations, such as ACORN, are prohibited from receiving funds while simultaneously facing charges of voter fraud and tax violations,” Bachmann said in a press release.

Although ACORN has had its share of legal troubles over the years, including an embezzlement scandal and problematic voter registration issues, the group said that it has never been indicted for voter fraud.

Acorn Charged in Voter Registration Fraud Case in Nevada

LAS VEGAS — A prominent antipoverty organization that drew criticism from Republicans during last year’s presidential race was charged by Nevada officials Monday with engaging in voter registration fraud.

Two former leaders of the group’s Nevada branch were also charged in connection with the submission of thousands of bogus voter registration forms.

The organization, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or Acorn, is accused of paying canvassers only if they registered at least 20 voters per shift and providing bonuses of $5 for registering more than 21.

Under Nevada law, it is illegal to attach incentives to such work, in part because it encourages canvassers to submit fraudulent forms, Secretary of State Ross Miller said.

Acorn submitted 91,002 completed forms in Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, of which 23,186 turned out to be valid new voters who voted in November, according to data provided by Mr. Miller’s office.

Mr. Miller investigated Acorn at the behest of the Clark County registrar of voters, Larry Lomax, who noted a high number of forms turned in featuring the names of famous football players and cartoon characters.
