John Ziegler vanishes from KGIL lineup

John Ziegler is off the air again. The former KFI-AM talk host is now also a former KGIL/1260 AM talker, gone from the station after only two months.....

Ziegler's final KGIL show was Aug. 14, and he left before it ended, with P.J. Ochlan completing the final half-hour, according to a report on LARadio.com...

On his final broadcast, Ziegler told listeners, "There's nobody who has done talk radio at the levels I've done it that has more disdain for the business than I do. It is difficult when the thing you are the best at you actually hate the business that creates the ability at it. There's no doubt that my career and life will be in crisis again, which is not something I enjoy.

"This is going to be great strain on my engagement. I have plans to be married on July 3rd of next year and not sure we'll be able to do that.

"I think I might be done with talk radio or talk radio might be done with me. I'm not quite sure, which makes it difficult at 42 years of age when it appears that the thing you do best is something that you don't have a whole heck of a lot of love for that business."

I do like John Zeigler and I hate to see this happen. His video “Media Malpractice” was excellent. And he is the only conservative I’ve seen who had the guts to tell off the morons at MSDNC (Contessa Brewer, David Shuster) on the air instead of pandering to them like most Repubs and conservative leaders do.

I wish him luck.

OK, let me see if I understand this. He is actually a liberal doing conservative talk radio because that is the only one that has been successful? And since he is liberal he hates what he is doing?

He doesn't sound Drama Queen to me. Everything he expressed was pretty reasonable, with little to no whining. Sounds much more reflective. People are to quick to criticize.

This guy is a good egg and should be supported IMHO.

He’s no liberal. The radio business is nasty, regardless of the format. My best man was a station manager for the first half of his career, and grew to hate it, while being very successful at it.

I tuned in to 1260am this morning to listen to Laura Ingraham as I always do, and apparently she is off this station as well. She is usually on from 6-9 however this morning there was someone filling in for Glen Beck?
I went to her site and that station is no longer listed. She is not on any station in LA right now. Shame, though I do like Beck!

I really do not understand how losing a job could cause the break-up on an engagement.

And if it did, I do not see why John would have to broadcast his little personal crisis to the world.

And broadcasting your little personal crisis to the world does make you a drama queen.
