Though Sowell did not mention George Orwell in his must-read piece, I am doubt he was far from Sowell's mind. The wisdom with which Thomas Sowell denudes Obama of his hopey-changey emotive rhetoric and follows the pea in Obama's shell game should be an inspiration and a call to courageous action for us all.
Sowell on Obama's Porkulus Package: Here the administration was successful in rushing a massive spending bill through Congress in just two days-- after which it sat on the President's desk for three days, while he was away on vacation....What was the rush to pass it, then? It was not to get that money out into the economy as fast as possible. It was to get that money-- and the power that goes with it-- into the hands of the government.
Sowell on Obama's Healthcare Grab: He tried to rush Congress into passing a massive government takeover of the nation's medical care before the August recess-- for a program that would not take effect until 2013!
If we do not believe that the President is stupid, then what do we believe? The only reasonable alternative seems to be that he wanted to get this massive government takeover of medical care passed into law before the public understood what was in it.
Moreover, he wanted to get re-elected in 2012 before the public experienced what its actual consequences would be.
Sowell on Obama's Czars: The proliferation of White House "czars" in charge of everything from financial issues to media issues is more of the same circumvention of the public and of the Constitution. Czars don't have to be confirmed by the Senate, the way Cabinet members must be, even though czars may wield more power, so you may never know what these people are like, until it is too late.

Obama is like a holographic Rorschach Test. Unless you train your ears to hear the opposite, OBAMA-speak will deceive you. He and most of his administration are not capable of such self-incriminating words and deeds as Van Jones. They have perfected the art of disguise and concealment.
But make no mistake, Obama and his merry cabal of Dancing Henrys are one sinister branded package. Thus far, only seven months into a four-year term, ALL the actions of the Obama Administration appear to be directed toward using these MEANS
Don't listen to what they say; watch and investigate what they do---and, above all, FOLLOW THE MONEY. It came from your pocket!
It's time to call for reinforcements and a more concentrated plan of action. Demand of your representatives in government that they refuse to pass another piece of legislation until independent vetting of this administration, from top to bottom, can take place. Beware of incremental legislation proposals and vague bills that allow this administration to sneak in the back door what it couldn't get through the front door.
And speaking of public servants,---our elected representatives---why are so many timid conservative and moderate Constitution-loving leaders MUTE???
Are they also in the cabal?
Or, have they determined that the Neo-Marxist "global-village$$$"-driven totalitarian Big Brother State is America's inevitable future?
Definition: Totalitarianism is a form of government in which all societal resources are monopolized by the state in an effort to penetrate and control all aspects of public and private life, through the state's use of propaganda, coercion, and technology.
We, the American People, need answers from those we elected to represent us, whose salary we pay to govern on our behalf. They need to give an account of where they stand. By there silence, they are placing America's future in jeopardy, and by their silence, they too will fall.
Why must we compel them to come forward now? Because, as Thomas Sowell observes, "There are lots of people in the Obama administration who want to do things that have not been done before-- and to do them before the public realizes what is happening."
Read the article and then look at it's title. Thomas Sowell is one fine, courageous man.

What stunned me about his article is the title. A man who picks his words with such deliberate thought and tempered care just called the sitting President a liar-—a shot across the bow, if you ask me. A courageous act. I hope he has more to follow.
Yes, I agree with you on this. The fact that his words are usually eloquently spoken, this should open some eyes that there is something inherently evil with zero. For Sowell to change the mannerism in his wording like this, should cause a person to pause & pay attention to what he has to say...

The last time Reublicans were invited to talk to Obama about Healthcare was in APRIL. In her press conference following a meeting with the President, Pelosi misleads the public into believing Republicans have been included in recent discussions.
Apparently, however, the only bipartisanship going on is between Democratic factions.
