The alternate day has always been the last Sunday in October. We changed it a few years ago at our parish. Besides there is the Pasadena rodeo, the air show and the Texans game this weekend. You know how people can be. It works better for us anyway because it’s not quite as hot.
Last year the turn out was about 250, mostly because of the hurricane. Our biggest problem is getting the Protestant churches to participate. We have people calling Churches this year instead of just mailing letters.

mine is just the opposite, the catholics are lame, I can't even get a priest and that's with 375 catholic parishes invited by first-class, snail mail while the evangelicals come in droves, one church uses a small bus to bring them!
