Tim Tebow the Abuser and His Poor, Defenseless Mom (“These feminists are not serious people.")
News Real ^ | Feb. 9, 2010 | Susan Venker

As we all know by now, there was outrage among feminists about CBS allowing the Tim Tebow ad to air during the Superbowl. But that was only the beginning. After the National Organization of Indoctrinated Women saw the commercial and realized it was actually benign, they needed something else to complain about – so they came up with this outlandish notion:

“I am blown away at the celebration of the violence against women in it,” she said. “That’s what comes across to me even more strongly than the anti-abortion message. I myself am a survivor of domestic violence, and I don’t find it charming. I think CBS should be ashamed of itself,” says NOW President Terry O’Neil.

That O’Neil is a “survivor of domestic violence,” or so she says, is no small matter. The most significant thread of feminist thought is victimhood: a simple study into the backgrounds of all feminists will tell you this is true. Almost all of them have pasts that include violence, abuse, alcoholism, or neglect on the part of a parent or spouse; and they are under the impression this somehow makes them unique — as if they’re in a special position to help women because of their experiences.

The truth is, these women can never help other women because they have not found a way to move forward with their lives. Instead they hold on to past grievances and encourage other women to do the same. Moreover, they package their policies – such as the Violence against Women Act (VAWA) – in such a way that people feel compelled to sympathize. After all, who would be against the Violence against Women Act?

But here’s what many Americans don’t know. Under the VAWA, domestic acts don’t have to be violent to be punished under the definition of domestic violence. Name-calling, put-downs, shouting, negative looks or gestures, ignoring opinions, or constant criticizing can all be legally labeled domestic violence. Under a definition this broad, it’s easy to see why Ms. O’Neil thinks pushing one’s mother aside in a joking manner is evidence of violence. (Feminists have no sense of humor, you know.)

VAWA also asserts that domestic violence is a crime, yet family courts often adjudicate domestic violence as a civil, rather than a criminal, matter. This means the accused is not innocent until proven guilty but is presumed guilty. Due process rights, such as trial by jury and the right of free counsel to poor defendants, are regularly denied, and false accusations are not covered by perjury law. VAWA provides funding for legal representation for accusers but not for defendants. Evidence is irrelevant; hearsay is admissible; defendants have no right to confront their accusers; and forced confessions are a common feature.

Bottom line: As Bernard Goldberg said on The Factor last night,

“These feminists are not serious people. You cannot take them seriously anymore.”

Violence against women? Are they referring to the Betty White Snickers ad?

Yeah, Mrs. Tebow sure looked abused in that commercial, especially when she quipped “I’m tougher than you!” to her strong, strapping son. Just like the rest of the liberals, since Obama and the Dem majorities in congress were elected, these kooks are finally showing middle America their true colors.

Aforementioned Betty White ad:

Which isn’t violence at all, it’s equality.

They got sucker punched and they glommed onto this idiot pitch.
Problem was that the Betty White commercial had the same schtick.

OOPs. This whole thing has shown the Pro-Killing Babies Org for what it is. Stupid-Evil-Ignorant.

There is a very nice warm place in hell for these people. They will regret the day they supported this movement. The Great White Throne of Judgment is going to condemn them to hell.

They were “played” really well prior to the ad’s airing, as well.

They tipped their hand as the vehemently selfish pro-baby killers that they are,

and then the ad made no mention of abortion.

That is exactly why they are such screaming banshees.
They KNOW that that judgement awaits, they REFUSE to repent, and they don’t want to be reminded in any way of Judgement Day.

“Violence against women? Are they referring to the Betty White Snickers ad?”

In the words of Jay Leno: EXACTLY! The Betty White ad showed her ground into the mud with tackler on top of her (and all the symbolic connotation that implies), whereas the Tebow ad left all that to the imagination and significantly undercut any implication of aggression by the mom’s snappy retort to her son about who was tougher.

This is a classic “give me a break” moment for feminists who continue to cherry-pick evidence to “prove” their lame case against men.

Ms. O’Neil neglected to mention if her assailant was a man or a woman.

Yet no mention from these loons about the Snickers commercial where Betty White got pummeled by a young guy on the football field? Oh, I get it, they don’t care about violence against elderly women.
These people are far out there.

I- and my two daughters- are survivors of “violence against women”

and I LOVED the Tebow commercial, but did NOT like the Betty White commercial....

I use to like Betty White, but she is nothing like I thought she was....her mouth is a toilet and she is using her old “sweet little old lady” past image to do outlandish things now to shock others and keep herself popular and employed in Hollywood— she is classless.....

My son plays football and he wrestles around with me all the time- but he would NEVER honestly hurt me— I think the Tebow commercial was real and authentic....God bless Tim and his mom....I bet they have a better relationship than any of these silly feminists have with anyone in their lives...

The truth is, these women can never help other women because they have not found a way to move forward with their lives.

You can make the same argument comcerning the black victimhood leaders.

Feminists are why lots of women are 40 years old, childless, never married and live with lots of cats. They’re old and used up and alone.

They are also why lots of 20-somethings are eager to jump into bed with guys like Tucker Max night after night. They’re playthings for men, but believe they’re “expressing their sexuality” by being a bj machine.

You’ve come a long way, baby. Aren’t you happy?

Nobody wishes to “rub it in” to the feminists who really did suffer (alcoholic or mentally ill households etc.). But there are more ways to cope than the bitter anger they burden themselves with. A second way is to put it all into perspective through the light of God, leaving it to God on his own schedule and ultimate purpose to chasten or forgive.

That said, it’s a Christian thing not to give needless offense. Maybe they could show Tim roughhousing with his dad, uncle, pal if it was to be shot again, then Mrs. Tebow could butt in with the more P.C. “I’m tougher than both of you,” followed by the rest of the script as it was.
