Sounds like he had NO IDEA she was under his machine. I’m sure he’s going through his own hell once he found out.
Not his fault. I feel more bad for him than I do her or her family.
I’m not so sure he “went through Hell” about it. Remember he’s a Russian emigrant and, let’s face it, Russian Jews have had to be plenty tough over the years just to survive.
I believe him when he said he didn’t see her, so I doubt he feels the slightest guilt. I wouldn’t. It was an accident. Accidents happen.
