I am shocked California is not on the list.

California is working on an "Every Resident a Millionaire" minimum wage.

The sticking point is whether is should be $479.85/hr and only make full timers millionaires, $639.80/hr to pick up the part-timers, or $959.70/hr to include the half-timers...

According to the state’s official website http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/FAQ_MinimumWage.htm the current minimum in California is $8.00 per hour.

In San Francisco it was just raised from $9.79 to 9.92.

I remember when the California minimum wage was $1.65 and gas was $.25. That means that one hour at minimum wage used to buy 6 gallons of gas. Today, in San Fran, it buys less than 3 gallons.
