Senator Kent Conrad, the allegedly pragmatic and common sense budget leader (according to his sycophants at the Fargo Forum) was upset recently when a Republican dared showed up to a meeting about one of Conrads many budget proposals.
Because how dare the opposition party think they get a say in the budgeting.
...
Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., is steadily emerging as the voice of pragmatism and common sense in the overheated federal budget debate in Washington, wrote the Fargo Forum in an editorial. That doesnt mesh with the reality of Kent Conrads actions on the budget, which has been to introduce and debate proposals only behind closed doors and without involving Republicans.
Thats close-minded and hyper-partisan, not pragmatic and common sense.
I think the nations budgets and budgeting process will be a lot better once Kent Conrad is out of the Senate.

I’m guessing that’s Conrad with the poodle?....
Kent Con-RAT (D-whatever)
The poodle is saying
“Help, I can’t get this thing off my backside!”
I think it’s some man carrying Conrad.
Isn’t it a Bichon Frise?
Jack
Oh, never mind.
Gay man's dog? [DUCK!]
"This is outrageous! Outrageous!"
The poodle is saying:
Help, I cant get this thing off my backside!
It does look like he just screwed the pooch doesn’t it? (the budget...not the poor little doggie)
Why wasn’t he ever tried for using Chinese money to finance his election campaigns? John Huang love me long time.
Conrad is likely “deeply disturbed”, like Tiny Tom.
yet the MSM says “nothing to see move along...”
where is the coverage? this is real news.
Yes and the Bischon is way to good a breed to be forced to hang our with the likes of Conrad.
Way worse than any waterbording. Where’s the humane society when you need them.
Amen to that! This guy's main claim to fame is that as State Tax Commissioner, he invented a simplified form which allowed North Dakota residents to file their return on a postcard. It has been downhill from there.
He was first elected because his liberal RINO opponent Mark Andrews had the bad luck to hire an attorney who sued a well-respected Fargo hospital and physician team who were unable to deliver a cure to his wife. To make matters worse, the attorney tried to paint them as a bunch of country rubes, something North Dakotans really hate. I actually felt sorry for Andrews and voted for him for the first and only time in my life.
But Conrad unseated him and earned a reputation for bringing pork home to North Dakota. The Fargo Forum, the state's leading newspaper, was his biggest cheerleader and enabler. We locals at the time called it the Fargo Fool-em.
Comrade Conrad was such a cheerleader for ObaMao that Cass County, home to Fargo and North Dakota State University, actually helped Zer0, carry the country in 2008, the first time a Democrat presidential candidate had accomplished that since the 1964 LBJ landslide. But that was then and this is now. The state hates ObaMaoCare and its relatively young population has seen the economy of the best-off part of the state with the lowest unemployment rate in the nation also go into the crapper (relatively speaking) under ObaMao. That's why his mentor Byron Dorgan (also a former state tax commissioner) announced his retirement last year. It is also why Comrade Conrad won't be running for re-election next year. Dorgan was at least personally likable. When I lived in the state, all of my encounters with Dorgan were pleasant and respectful, even when we disagreed (which was most of the time). Conrad, on the other hand, is an arrogant prick who was handed his seat and held it too long by his close association with Dorgan, his suck-up state media especially the Foolem and the unwillingness of the state GOP to ever field or fund a viable opponent.
