Vice president Joe Biden slammed Iran over allegations it conspired to kill the Saudi ambassador to Washington in a bomb plot and said the U.S. intended to mobilize world opinion in reaction.
“It is an outrageous act,” said Biden Wednesday on ABC’s Good Morning America. “The Iranians are going to have to be held accountable. And when you see the case presented you will find there is compelling evidence for the assertion being made.”
The U.S. is considering additional sanctions, but “nothing has been taken off the table,” he added.
Biden said the administration intended to share intelligence with other governments to form a unified front against Iran. "The first thing we do is make sure the entire world and all the capitals of the world understand exactly what the Iranians had in mind,” he said.
“It’s an outrage that violates one of the fundamental premises upon which nation's deal with one another, and that is the sanctity and safety of their diplomats. This is really over the top."

Ooooooh, I bet those Iranians are really quaking in their boots over that threat. Iran made a calculated decision that even if their plan were discovered, Obama wouldn't do anything about it. And they were right.

There’s one thing that scares me about this, and it’s not the Iranians. It gives Obama the perfect opportunity to lob some missiles, and clear the front pages of his horrendous scandals and economic policy disasters, in a wag the dog scenario. I do not want any military offensive under this president and his administration. The are completely incompetent.

Face it Joe...if this plot had succeeded it would have been an act of war against the United States. However, I don’t think the Obama administration would call it an act of war even if an Iranian nuke was detonated on the Mall in Washington, DC. If Obama had any balls he would make it known to the Iranians that such an attack on the US could bring a nuclear response.
