Hehe... FERC is gonna stir up a hornets nest with this one like they've never seen. I know these Lake Ozark folks and they won't take this sitting down.

We are not a Constitutional Republic anymore. The Federal Government has become a "Nation" unto itself - separate and apart from those who authorize it to exist.

We are now no better than we were under King George III.

“We are now no better than we were under King George III. “

Best and most accurate one line statement that sums up the reality we are allowed to live under.

Well done...

Sadly...... it is factual.

Does Ameren own the land or the rights to it? Was the private property built on land owned or controlled by another private party (Ameren)? These questions need to be answered.

This could deliver the state of Missouri to the Republicans and hopefully get rid of the idiot senator (is it Carnahan?).

The Democrats are stupid, stupid, stupid, and deserve everthing their little marxist asses get.

Federal regulators say the buildings can interfere with scenic, recreational and environmental benefits and note that the commission does not support residential development within dam projects.

Fine. I'm sure the Feds will be willing to give up all the tax revenue they collected on the commerce generated to build the houses.

(Snort) That'll be the day......

Someone once said that “the people get the government they deserve”, so that is what I am seeing today. Many watched as they stole our freedoms, even now I wonder how many people who say they are conservatives still are members of AARP, buy the NY Times or Washington Post, support leftist entertainers by paying to see their movies and buying their cd’s.

The time to have stopped this was before the law was passed. Now these people will do just what people do at the airports, move on and do what they are told.

Its not a very well written article or nearly detailed enough. It seems to say on one hand a that its the homes that “encroach on property designated for the dam”.

Since the last time that I was there, I remember that any homes existing close to the Dam had been there for many years. How can they come back now and claim authority?

The article also seems to make a vague reference to other just regular “lakefront” properties with this reference...”It has triggered panic in the area’s lakefront communities”.

So, while the left is tearing down hydro electric dams in WA and operating others at less than full capacity, the regulators in Missouri are asking home owners to abandon their homes/?

Reminds me of the case that couple wanted to build their dream house on, until the EPA stomped in and declared it a “wetland”.

I say allow the government to step their big ole stinky boots upon Americans heads and we will see an awakening like no other.

REQUIREMENTS FOR OBTAINING LAND BY ADVERSE POSSESSION

A trespasser is entitled to legal ownership of property if his occupation of the property is hostile, actual, open and notorious, exclusive and continuous for a period of years set by state statute. (We explain each of these terms below.) Some states, such as California, also require the trespasser to have paid the local property taxes on the land.(1) The time required, which varies from state to state, is usually twenty years. It can be as short as five years when the trespasser pays the property taxes.

“wonder how many people who say they are conservatives still are members of AARP”

Ironically, many of the lake residents are retirees and prolly AARP members too.
