I gave up on Google a while back. Way too intrusive. Tracking you like a hawk, etc. I prefer Bing. Or, if I’m feeling particularly paranoid, startpage.com which does an anonymous Google search for you.
Ping, because this is a meaningful issue for you.
Having a drink of orange juice this morning.
I'm never buying gasoline again.
A Google logo with the two o’s being replaced by the doorway to the empty tomb and the stone rolled away from it would be another nice touch.
A big “thank you” for the excellent postings both today and yesterday from Laz Master Mataz.
My better half has been urging me for a while to get Google off of my computer. Their in-your-face Easter homepage was the last straw. I am switching to Startpage.
Google is Goo-gone.....
“Historical Figures”
There is NO “historical figure” that defines history like Jesus Christ.
Bing gave google a nice little slap yesterday with the animated Easter Island photo of the grinning heads.
It's a fair portrayal of the Easter story and people could choose which story to believe.
How does an Android smartphone owner replace Google as their browser?
I wanna vote with my pocketbook!
I use Bing as my primary search engine, although it too is far from perfect—even though google admittedly is a more thorough search engine.
On another matter, thank God it’s April 2. Some of these jokes are hard to weed out!
Gee, I thought Google was honoring Chavez for his principled opposition to illegal aliens, and the practice of importing low-skilled workers to drive down labor costs.
Maybe Google is going to celebrate Pascha/Easter according to the Russian Orthodox calendar. They did mark the 450th anniversary of St. Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow.
Said Samantha Smith, Google spokeschick, We enjoy celebrating holidays at Google but, as you may imagine, it’s difficult for us to choose which events to highlight on our site, and Sometimes for a given date, we feature an historical event or influential figure that we haven’t in the past.

But as Nana’s birthday has yet to be honored
so when will that happen ???
Eh ???
Well done sir, well done!
If they’d decided to honor Easter, I doubt they would have honored the Lord. It probably would have been a bunny and a basket of eggs.
Stupid and insulting....but typical.
Personally, they can post whatever they want.
They are a business.
As I understand it, Bing, had Easter Eggs and I rather liked the touch.
There are other search engines and I think the market will dictate what is important and what is not.
Clearly, Google is a highly secular organization and they want to penetrate the largest number of markets, some of which are not Christ centered.
Hence, they don’t want to be seen as pushing one religion over another.
For me, I’ve been using a variety of search engines and am moving away from Google for their underhanded market tactics alone.
As the other search engines act in the same manner as Google I’ll move away from them as well.
No, I won’t say who I am using. I don’t want to debate philosiphies of Search Engines.
It’s like two IT guys arguing over Cisco or Juniper for core networks or over various strategies of protection down to the laptop and other other handheld devices.
Experiences and preferences.
