What a load of crap. Muslims didn’t contribute jack to mathematics other than the translations into Arabic of the works salvaged from Alexandria. Algebra was used extensively in commerce prior to the birth of Christianity, and it was the Hindus that “discovered” zero.
Credit should be given to the Arabs, however, for salvaging and publishing works that might have otherwise been lost. This effort was long underway prior to the insurrection of Islam. Unfortunately, the Arab cultural interest in the field of sciences did not survive the impact of Islam and the Crusades.
