Jim let a bit of truth slip here today at the House Ways and Means committee hearing by explaining why he thinks the IRS was right to target these conservative groups:
“Each of your groups is highly political. From opposing the President’s healthcare reform, to abortion restrictions, to gay marriage, you’re all entrenched in some of the most controversial political issues in this country ....... “

See, these libs like McDermott think the IRS did nothing wrong.
Those groups opposed Obama's initiatives like Obama-care so it was perfectly appropriate to use the IRS to crush them. This is big progressive government doing 'the people's business'. Some eggs have to be broken to make an omelet.

McDermott looks exactly like I thought he would. He’s a C.O.D., a crooked old Democrat. I’m so tired of the beltway conservatives and wimpy establishment types telling us we need to find consensus and common ground with the Democrats. McDermott proves that this is impossible. He doesn’t give a wit about anything but retaining the Democratic Party’s power through a strong, authoritative federal government. He’s not interested in making peace with the GOP. He wants to bury us and I say we return it to him in kind. The Democratic Party needs to be defeated period. End of story.
