There is finally some good news from environmental scientists studying climate change: as the earth gets warmer, ancient redwood trees are thriving.
The huge trees that dot the California coast and the Sierra Nevada mountains soak up carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels, keeping the potentially harmful greenhouse gas out of the atmosphere.
Despite the warming climate, redwood trees are growing faster than at anytime over the last century, according to a report issued today by the Redwoods and Climate Change Initiative.

This is just more junk science from global warming deniers, I am sure that they have skewed the numbers in a unethical manner to support their ludicrous opinion.
The redwoods have survived hundreds of years of climate change, so?
Quick! Cut ‘em down or they’ll ruin EVERYTHING!
EnviroWhackos: “Damn that abundance of CO2! It’s ruining our agenda!!”
This guy's dendrology is seriously faulty. The Coast Redwood is Sequoia sempervirens and does not live in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The Giant Sequoia is Sequoiadendron giganteum and a very different species.
Well this is not good news.
Now we will certainly have to pass laws and raise taxes to battle “climate sameness.”
Most of the world's advanced societies live in the northern latitudes of the northern hemisphere. Countries like Canada & Russia would benefit greatly with a few more degrees of warmth. Most of the world's grain crop is grown in the northern latitudes. With more CO2 in the atmosphere & a longer growing season, the price of food would drop dramatically, benefiting the entire world population.
Contrary to the AGW fools, CO2 is a very good thing, as is a warm planet, especially for plants. That this has just occurred to an org. dedicated to protecting a plant species suggests they are blinded by a false ideology.
CO2 might have a minor effect on our climate, but that effect is dwarfed by the effect of the Sun & the ocean currents.
I'll bet my damned grass is, too!
