Famous Hollywood Filmmaker David Mamet Slams Obama: 'He's a Tyrant'
NewsBusters ^ | November 28, 2013 | Scott Whitlock

Famous Hollywood filmmaker David Mamet on Monday dared to oppose liberal orthodoxy, slamming Barack Obama as a "tyrant." Appearing on the Hugh Hewitt Show, the writer/director (The Untouchables, Wag the Dog, Ronin) decried the President's deal with Iran over nuclear production.

Mamet assailed, "He's a tyrant. And I give him great credit. He's always said that his idea was to reform the United States." ... He added, "And, you know, like many tyrants, like Wilson and like Franklin Delano Roosevelt, he believes that his way is the right way and that he's going to implement his vision of the world." (In addition to attacking Obama, you don't see too many directors going after FDR.)

HOORAY Mamet! DEFUND/DISMANTLE the collectives of tyrants.

Pick one…any one.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

There are probably no better people to have promoting the truth than a smart guy who discovers how much he once "knew" was, after all, wrong.

He's honest enough to admit it, intellectually honest enough to study and promote the truth with God-given talent.

Many of us were big fans of Mamet's work before. How much more when he shows "the eye the light of God hath clarified remains open, and we may close it never-more."

Mamet obviously has his head on straight and isn’t falling for the BS Obama’s regime is shoveling.

How naive and ignorant do people have to be to believe Zero’s constant lies?

The Marxist Usurper is only getting started. Coming soon, more new economy-killing regulations.

Federal agencies are currently working on rolling out hundreds of environmental regulations, including major regulations that would limit emissions from power plants and expand the agency’s authority to bodies of water on private property.

Thanks for that link (copy & paste), zipper.

House Republicans on Monday unveiled plans to slash the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget by 34 percent in 2014 and block federal rules to limit carbon emissions from power plants.

“federal rules” …out-of-control federal bureaucracy rules.

This man will be banned from Hollywood! How can he say this about our dear leader? How can he say he’s a Tyrant—wasn’t he elected as President-for-Life? This man needs to have an accident—maybe his car can go out of control (drone Strike) and he can die in a firey crash! Speaking ill of Obama can be punishable by death—Maybe i an getting ahead of myself.

Correctamundo. And Iowahawk did a great parody of the opening scene of the movie adaptation.

“IIRC, Mamet ALSO wrote Glengarry Glen Ross.”

Great movie. Jack Lemmon’s swan song in my opinion. Not seen very much at all now.

Alec Baldwin did a good job in that film, too. Pretty sure it was a stage play first.

Yes, it was a stage play first. The Alec Baldwin monologue was written specifically for the movie and does not appear in the play.
