I’m sure the Obama Administration and the world in general will accord Ariel Sharon the same outpouring of sympathy and respect they did for Nelson Mandela. I’m sure the First Lady has already left Hawaii for Tel Aviv, and they are already warming up Air Force One for Obama and the large entourage to accompany him and soften the sorrows as he mourns Sharon’s passing. I’m sure the networks are gearing up for the same round-the-clock coverage they accorded the funerals of Arafat and Mandela.

I find it interesting that numerous freepers roundly denounced Mandela's record the moment he died and decried the media for whitewashing his career and making Mandela out to be a perfect saint... yet now that Sharon dies the ONLY statements I see on here are praise about what a wonderful heroic patriotic statesmen he was.

He may have been a great general but he was a lousy Prime Minister and his actors towards the end of his career were very harmful to Israel. Ignoring that fact because he died now won't change it. Those who whined about the biased Mandela coverage and the complete coverup over Mandela's questionable actions should practice what they preach.
