I personally think this can be traced back to the family unit. Are both parents under the same roof? Is education valued in the home? What is the family's annual income? All of that matters.
But none of that will be looked at. Instead, schools will be branded as “racist” if the percentages don't seem right. So the schools will simply cut down on black suspensions. Disruption in those schools will skyrocket. Middle class families (mostly white) will flee those schools.
The schools will spiral downwards. And who will be hurt the most? It will be the black students who come to school looking for a decent education. They will be trapped in chaos.
Even in the worst schools are many more good black students than there are disruptive black students. But it doesn't matter. They will be trapped in chaos.
Whats worse is that an even greater percentage of blacks who misbehave GET AWAY WITH IT more than the same percentage of whites who misbehave.
Why is this? Simple. Because to punish a black child is racist. To give him a bad grade (though he deserves it) is racist. So yeah. When the experts study why there are these inequalities; they ought to factor in the numbers should be higher. Much higher.
“Here’s the bottom line. On a percentage basis, blacks are suspended more than whites. That’s because on a percentage basis, blacks misbehave more than whites.”
If the study conducted were to have any value there needs to be a comparison between race, misbehavior and punishment. Is a black kid more likely to be suspended when he beats the heck out of someone than a white kid? Without that information this is just a political document. Also, the report suggests that the school admin are racists. I would love to see them start firing those racist teachers and watch union heads explode.
