A message from Yitz Glick, the brother of Temple Mount activist Yehuda Glick who was shot four times last Wednesday by an Arab terrorist in Jerusalem, reveals shocking differences in the US administration's reaction to events in Israel.

Yitz wrote to Glick (who is not related to the family), saying "I just wanted to tell you that our family is shocked that we haven't heard a single word from the US State Dept., the US Ambassador or any representative of the US government regarding the shooting of our brother a US citizen Yehuda Glick."

See rest of article for details. State Department response has been silence. They have not even condemned the Palestinian response, which was to praise the assassination attempt.

If the Republicans ever make it back into the Presidency, the first day should they should have a zero-based hiring policy at the State Department: everyone should reapply for their positions, and about half the people should be replaced. As it is, the State Department is riddled with worms.

I like the way you think.

It goes without saying that obama and lurch are at the same time anti-Israel and anti-American and history will be harsh on them for the confederacy of dunces they helm.

“they should have a zero-based hiring policy at the State Department”

It sounds like Obama will be involved in the hiring process if it is zero-based!

"I just wanted to tell you that our family is shocked that we haven't heard a single word from the US State Dept., the US Ambassador or any representative of the US government regarding the shooting of our brother a US citizen Yehuda Glick."

Just being ironic. No one who is familiar with Kerry or Obama or the obamist State Department is actually shocked.

Duh! What else should they expect from our Muslim, friendly administration in Washington, who doesn’t give a rat’s rear end about the Israelis? But the Jewish vote will overwhelmingly vote for democRATS today.

Lurch and Zero literally and at the time admittedly were anti-American as young men. As far as I know, neither has disavowed that sentiment since. Even though both were nominees for President at least once.

If he was not an illegal alien, a military deserter, a welfare thug or an islamic terrorist then the US State Department doesn’t give a shit about him.

Earlier than that, I think. I’d say 1914:

[from the State Department’s web-site]:

“1914–1920: World War One and Wilsonian Diplomacy

During his tenure as president, Woodrow Wilson encouraged Americans to look beyond their economic interests and to define and set foreign policy in terms of ideals, morality, and the spread of democracy abroad.”

Last week, the Obama administration was calling Israel’s Prime Minister a ‘’chicken****,’’ so maybe we should be grateful that this week they’re being silent.

But why is there such a deafening silence from Jewish groups? And also from Conservative Jewish columnists?

Why is it that, whereas Conservative Black columnists spend a great deal of their time criticizing Black liberals and the destructive policies they perpetrate on the Black community, Conservative Jewish columnists almost never criticize Jewish liberals and the destructive policies they perpetrate on their fellow Jews, particularly those in Israel whose very lives are threatened day after day?

Is the Conservatives’ silence caused by Jewish guilt about publicly criticizing their fellow Jews no matter how liberal and destructive they may be?

This rings somewhat true to me as a Jew, but the time for silence should be over now that even Jewish Americans are being killed in Israel by Palestinians, in the same type of vicious pogroms that brought our ancestors to America.
