I am still torn about voting for Trump after the shenanigans over the past several days. Guess I will have to wait and see.

I’m just as “torn” about voting for Cruz, too, and I’ll be polite enough on this good thread of Jim’s to not say why, but I don’t want to live out the rest of my days - let alone be responsible for willing it to my great-grandchildren - under a communist dictatorship.

How about you?

If it helps, think of it this way.

When Trump is attacked, he attacks back twice as hard.

His wife was attacked by a fairly filthy ad campaign, and whether Cruz had anything to do with it or not, it WAS done in order to support him. And while I personally wouldn’t have dragged Heidi into it, I admire the fact that he protects his wife.

If a man won’t protect his wife, how can we expect him to protect the USA once he gets into office?

But if he DOES protect his wife and goes this far, it seems to me that he’s a lot more likely to be willing to be un-PC in order to protect the nation.

You don’t have to like Trump himself to like what he says that he’ll do.

Trump is attacked, his wife used in an ad for Cruz, and you have problems with Trump?

Really?

We’ve become too used to girly-men afraid to speak up that alpha males seem too extreme when they protect their families - or their country. I miss the good old days of John Wayne, Patton, and Churchill not seen as extreme but was MEN. just men, without the testosterone removed.

Trump shenanigans?

Nope, time bomb set by Rubio supporters ...

Ted Cruz Cheating Scandal Not Linked to Trump Campaign – Was Started by GOP Elites [a Rubio time bomb]
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3413980/posts

Virtually everyone in the blog-o-sphere who supported Marco Rubio was active, tweeting, re-tweeting, or following the events related to #TheThing. Now they’re running for cover and trying to hide their fingerprints.

Anti-Trump Republican operative Rick Wilson tweeted this out weeks ago. (He has since deleted it.)

... one of the now deleted ‘tweets’ was from Rick Wilson, who stated the owner of ‘The Thing’ should just upload it to You Tube and the reporters could ‘discover it’ there.

The Cruz sex scandal has Rubio fingerprints all over it. The Rubio people been tweeting it for weeks it was referred to as #thething.

The picture to smear Trumps wife was purchased by Cruz’s campaign manager, Roe.

I will vote for whoever is the Republican nominee in November. I hope everyone here agrees that no matter who emerges as the Republican nominee at the convention, they will vote for him or her in November.

....”I am still torn about voting for Trump after the shenanigans over the past several days. Guess I will have to wait and see”......

I have a wait and see mindset as well and will support Cruz until a winner is determined. Then I’ll cross that bridge if Cruz doesn’t win, and am comfortable with a wait and see who actually is chosen.

I have held my nose and voted for candidates in the past...I suppose if it really comes to that I will have no other choice but do it again as an opposition vote to Hillary rather than an actual vote for Trump....who I don’t trust one iotta.

You need to explain these "shenanigans" you appear to assign to Trump. It sounds like you are assuming that Trump is responsible for the adultery charges. Occam's Razor says you are wrong. Whoever is responsible is easily outed by the receiver of the information. Does that sound like a mistake that Trump would make? I don't think so.

A far more plausible theory is that Cruz found out the story was imminent and dragged Trump into it intentionally to obfuscate. God help him if he or his campaign staff contacted Liz Mair and greenlit the initial wife attack because that goes to a major violation of law.

Anyway, we already know where this originates. It started with Rubio supporters, aka GOPe members, and this is verified in multiple places.

Cruz has lost all credibility now. He went with the KKK smear, which ludicrously means someone from Texas ( where it is entirely plausible KKK members could mingle with your supporters ), accuses someone from New York ( where we don't have a KKK retard within hundreds of miles ) of the most vile charge of political garbage I can imagine. That was a nasty episode and Cruz deserves to burn for it, and I am so looking forward to it.

We went through this absurdity years ago with Tawana Brawley and Al Sharpton. They caused major upheaval in a small village using the KKK lie, harming their county prosecutor, smearing herself with excrement, all to absolve the herself of some ridiculous late night romp that she would have been punished for by her mother. There was no KKK up there either, and in my many years have never crossed paths with any such person, if they exist at all in any of the counties I have lived and traveled.

Cruz is practically Al Sharpton in my eyes, but he sneakily couches his racist attack using "Donald is distancing himself from ..." an endorsement that never even happened. If it wasn't so ridiculous it might have harmed Trump. Anyone who doesn't recoil at the lowlife depraved actions of Cruz in this Mississippi assassination attempt is hopeless ( especially since Cruz supposedly supported Chris McDaniel when his own GOPe masters did it to him ). The only thing as nasty in New York would be to accuse him of anti-semitism or child molesting. Knowing Cruz at this point, I wouldn't put such tactics beneath him.

It is ironic the amount of false accusations Trump routinely gets from Cruzers who are now squealing that he is responsible for these alleged false accusations against Saint Ted.
