I didn’t grasp the degree of this until watching prolonged YouTube videos shot by Islamic combatants. They mumble “Allahu Ackbar” almost as often as they breathe. Seems it could be widespread “palilalia”, a mental disorder of frequent & involuntary repetition of phrases, marked by competent conversation when needed (and right back to repetition when finished).

They hell it when the inflict casualties and when the receive casualties. In effect it seems to work like a means of desensitization.
What might give a normal human pause, killing or seeing a compatriot killed, is minimized -God is greater.
