I believe that President Harry Truman, Democrat, used the phrase “dumb son of a bitch” in an interview.

Was he discussing a foreign leader?

Nope.

One of his generals.

It seems it’s OK for Democrats to say that.

Truman also used the term for a fellow Democrat he couldn’t get along with, Florida Senator Claude Pepper.
