Socialists do not believe that individuals matter. They see us all as interchangeable except for luck “You didn’t build that.” They were wrong.
They ran into a very small number of men who made a huge difference. Wikileaks mattered. Free Republic mattered (thanks, Jim!). Weiner mattered. A NYPD detective investigating the right pedophile mattered. #AllLivesMatter.
Sadly, the same people who wrote the GOP Election Autopsy of 2012 will for the most part write the “lessons learned” for 2016, and it will be all the wrong lessons. Those people hope they will be the ones who matter. It’s up to us to make sure they’re not. It’s up to Trump to solve the big problems that were issues this year, so they cannot be election issues in 2020 (immigration especially, but also Obamacare, infringing on the Second Amendment, and religious freedom).
We cannot settle for holding the line until they tighten the ratchet once more; we have to roll back losses to our freedom and take back the Bill of Rights. Let them start again from the beginning for once, instead of from where they left off.
Hubby said this morning: “this election was between the devil we don’t really know and ‘the devil’”.

Well said and thanks for Free Republic, for being a shining light in this darkness the left has tried to do to this country. The shining light of freedom and liberty needs to spread throughout the country once again. Last night was a very good start.
My message today to shocked family and friends, who supported hilLIARy was to NOT trust the media at all levels. I told them they will eventually find out Trump isn’t anything negative the left and the media painted him as. I informed them they will come to the conclusion that the medias lied to them about this whole election, which in truth they did.
We need to plant that seed of truth to all Americans to help take down this corrupt media so that we can have a fair and honest, Constitutional-abiding media, in the future. Along with going after the corporate media for their collusion with the DNC and others, revealed by Wikileaks and others. This needs to happen to help make America great again.

When the LSM types say “we got it wrong”, I don’t even believe they didn’t know they had it wrong. I think it was intentionally corrupt on their part.
Sorry, I don’t buy the “shame” factor and I actually resent the sentiment. Just because the average American citizen isn’t college educated doesn’t mean he’s too stupid to figure out a battle strategy.
I hung up on pollsters religiously, who I vote for and why is no ones business but my own.
Anyone paying the slightest bit of attention to what has been going on with politics in this country for the past 40+ years knows to keep his thoughts to himself and wait for the right moment to make his move.
Millions of average folks heard and saw someone finally worthy of coming together for and realized that this was also way more important than the man they elected.
Preventing the liberal/communist movement from being in a position to select Supreme Court Justice’s was most important to me.
Everything else will fall into place almost like magic when we have constitutional judges in place.
So why the dearth of yard signs and bumper stickers for either candidate? I saw more Bernie bumper stickers than any other candidate while he was still in the race.
There is the fear of intimidation and physical confrontation for displaying Trump paraphernalia, but I think it was more than that.
I read somewhere that the Democrats saw little reason to cheat more at the ballot box because the media’s polls were showing so well. Thanks, media!

I imagine chunks of Clinton votes this election are people who were not even in the country in 2012. So for author to say Clinton got more votes in FL than Obama is silly without considering how those vote totals came to be, false ballots like some have said people sitting in back room filling out bunches? illegals since Obama told them they could vote?
