Pat Caddell gave a fantastic speech to Accuracy in Media on the media and how starting in the 1980s they stopped holding both sides to the same level of accountability. He focuses a fair amount on Benghazi-gate but also mentions a few other things including the medias silence on David Plouffe receiving $100k from an Iranian front group for giving 2 speeches. Caddell totally nails it by saying that the media has now become a danger to America and an enemy of the people.

And he’s right, the media in this country(If you can even call them that anymore) have sold their souls to the devil because they want Obama re-elected SO badly
Hope Pat has a body guard - He is doing the right thing by stating the obvious.
As has most of the federal government
Without a doubt. They have become a Fifth Column propaganda arm of a Marxist-Muslim insurgency.
The mission of the conservative movement should not be to defeat Obama: it should be to expose the betrayal and corruption of our government/media elite, which encompasses every single Republican, Fox News, Conservative Inc. (NR, American Spectator, etc.). They were fully complicit in allowing the ineligible fraud to take over.
we have been subjected to media fraud, media bullies....
having had a child experience what the state calls the “most severe” form of bullying - ignoring, or isolation from the group - this is what the news does to the Tea Party and Conservatives....
they are bullies, and were they covering this election with integrity there would be “no contest” O. would go down in flames....
The media has sold out principal for politics many moons ago.
This man knows things even HE dares not divulge - and he is afraid for this country.
The fact that he is/was a high ranking democrat operative should make even the left sit up and listen -
I wish the republicans and the RR camp would LISTEN
Yes, it has sold him!
“enemy of the people” ... Yes about 50 years ago.

Of course, you are correct. The Democrats are dangerously idiotic and would never get away with their BS if not for the media.
This media industrial complex has been 40 years in the making. How do normal truth seeking people like us go about fighting back against those who purchase ink by the barrel?
So has the federal government.
Just changed back to my original FR tagline.
It has to be the number one fight or all else is lost.
A Democrap with integrity is a rarity these days. He may be the last one. Although Joe Trippi at least seems troubled by his conscience.
The MSM is the enemy of the people that hides behind the 1st Amendment.
We bury them with print by the gigabyte.
The main focus of every story has to be about media mendacity. Instead of parsing and rebutting the "facts" that the press doles out to us we have to make the story about how they are lying, withholding and manipulating information. Everything has to be secondary to that.
We have to build our cases with dossiers on the press and name names.
I’ve been thinking of that. We need to figure a way to use their own platform, we need to go on the air and broadcast the questions the media won’t ask: Was Obama a citizen of Indonesia? How did he pay for Harvard? What is a natural born citizen? We need to do this regardless of November 6. A non-profit organization with enough funds may be able to pull it off.
Whose air are you going to go on? I’m not trying to be snarky I am seriously asking where you think you will get national media coverage.
I am so, SO grateful to this man.
Our country is at the mercy of a deliberate and successful effort to NOT cover stories that have great import to the citizens.
It is terrifying.
I can almost hear the first debate question to his excellency: What is your favorite color. First question to Romney: You were active at Bain Capital when x number of jobs went over seas, some people were laid off, some lost their health care during reorgainzations, how do you sleep at night?
If Romnuts has any gonads at all, when he gets the first question, whatever it is, he should look right into the camera and say: Do you wish to hear this dribble questions to the guy to my right here or would you rather hear his commentary about why the economy is in the toilet 4 years after he promised to fix it.
“enemy of the people ... Yes about 50 years ago.”
It actually all started in 1917.
FDR was a continuance.
Osama Bin Laden is Dead, and GM might be alive, but 4 US citizen has been Murder, and the Mainstream media are brain-dead.
Good for Pat
The KKK was begun by progressive, or communist democrats from the south.
The complete sellout of the news media started in the 1960's with the most popular news couple of the day, the Huntley and Brinkley report.
Gutsy guy!
The GOP should NEVER have agreed to the Liberal sewer RATs at the debates asking their loaded questions! NEVER
The GOP and Romney should NEVER have agreed to the Liberal sewer RATs at the debates asking their loaded questions! NEVER
Is it true that Valerie Jarrett, O’bummer’s handler was born in Iran?
I hope the Romney campaign starts listening to this guy. He is brilliant.
I like his idea of calling out specific reporters, basically keeping track of the news coverage, making a big deal about the bias observed in the media and, more importantly, making a big issue of things not reported. Calling out the reporter and new service by name will force them to change their coverage. Most of the public will approve. Obama already uses this tactic even though the media is completely in the tank for him.
That's ok. We have the 2nd Amendment.
You hit on a good strategy. Head hunting. Go after specific individuals relentlessly. The high value targets.
If approached, snap their pictures and film THEM. Record their off-camera voices. Seize the initiative. WE are the initiative. Question THEM.
Well I read on a blog years ago that Chrissie Matthews may have, may be, cheating on his IRS Federal taxes, and that he has a lot of millions in Swiss banks accounts. I don’t know if true or not. We need answers.
But when the press’s speech is bought by the word and censored by the White House, it’s not freedom anymore. Now, for Islamic censorship to take hold, threats of violence to silence their tongues and pens forever are not far behind.
I remember Chris Matthews specifically said he received a bonus of $100,00 on 0bama’s win from 0bama. Money talks bull$hit, too, and has made it a language.
See, this is now asymmetrical warfare, right here in this space. WE are each a warrior now, and our boots have to be on the ground. WE do it. When the opposition is large, we use our size and maneuverability to our advantage. We gather our info and weaponize ourselves. It is our ideals and information that become our assets. We are our own greatest weapons.
Breitbart started fighting back but I'm not sure even he fully appreciated that the fight isn't with the so-called information the press is delivering but with the press itself. Caddell has and he is right.
To be absolutely clear to everyone reading this this isn't about character assassination this about character exposure. We have to destroy them but not with their tactics of lies and misinformation. We will need to gain credibility by exposing their lack of credibility with the truth. There is no shortage of that at all but it will be uphill to dig it out and source it and down and dirty to wreck their lives with it.
The biggest challenge may simply be to change our perspective and redirect our focus from reacting to what the press is feeding us to who the press is and what their motives are. Where ever possible the spotlight has to be turned back on the press and away from the subject they are shining it on. It's time to grill them and force them to defend every word they say.
The media have been the enemy of the people for 100 years. They are democrats. The media is the cause of all the problems we have or 99% of them.
bttt

That time period coincided with the affordability and availability of televisions. Prior to about 1960, not every family had one, but by the election of 1962 just about every household did.
It’s so much easier to manipulate the masses when they are parked in front of the tv every night. Prior to its advent, the media had to rely on newspapers and radio to get their message out - coupled with the fact that people sat down with their families for dinner every night, instead of being glued to the box. If a member of the family read the paper or listened to the news on the radio, the whole family would discuss it. Opinions varied greatly from family member to family member, but at least each person thought for him/herself. Back then, people actually had lives and did things together after supper. Now, they sit on the couch for passive “indoctrination” or “entertainment.”

Tx for link. I would add, thank God and JimRob for FR.
He was and is very nice and very genuine. He is my second favorite Democrat next to Zell Miller.
Fascinating picture.
But what is the context? Where and when was it taken, I am wondering.
Re: Your #40 post.
“That’s the spirit. That’s exactly what I’m talking about. As others have said the press has been changing the paradigm for some time now. The rest of us have only reacted by trying to increase our debating skills. But they aren’t debating they are creating the reality they want accepted by the masses.
Breitbart started fighting back but I’m not sure even he fully appreciated that the fight isn’t with the so-called information the press is delivering but with the press itself. Caddell has and he is right.

It deserves another reading.
